Greene Co in CarmichaelsQUOTE=rebeccag;3138865]2 Yorkies stolen on 5/17/10 from New Bedford home. 1 spayed female and 1 neutered male. This is a long shot but if you see them please call 508-998-3455 or 508-998-3008. Thanks!!![/QUOTE] |
I'm real sorry about your little girl!!! She was stolen just after my two. I'm glad you have another one. Are you still looking for the one that was stolen? I'm not going to stop looking for mine. A woman at a shelter in a nearby town said sometimes they show up 6 months down the road....I am going to get another one which is something I wasn't going to do but it's been so long and my daughter wants another dog. She still cries every once in a while when she thinks about Jonah and Ksena....It makes me so mad...I mean really, did they have to take both of mine?! I just hope they're still together at least!!! I am so sorry for your loss. I know what you must be going through. In 1987 we brought our two Yorkies to the USA, Penni and Tuppence. Tuppence was tiny (guess she would be what some people call "teacup"). We have a large fenced in yard and have a doggie door. had a doctors appointment one day, and forgot to close off the doggie door - I wanted to keep them in the house while we were gone. When we came back Tuppence was gone. She must have gone through the doggie door into the back yard, and someone obviously took her. Now, our Yorkies are microchipped and the doggie door is always closed down when we aren't at home, and it is closed down every night. I am praying that your babies will be found and returned to you safe and sound. |
Thank you! Quote:

Anyone who would steal someones pet is evil. They may see them as JUST dogs but they are so much more then that, they become part of your family! I hope you find them soon :( |
I want to thank all of you that expressed your concerns on my stolen Yorkie.Everyone who owns a Yorkie knows what a wonderful gift they really are.I only hope the person that took her loves her as much as i did.She was my joy.Going to get my new little girl microchiped today but don't think it helps if they are stolen only if lost and someone takes it to a shelder.I offered a hugh reward but have not recieved any news.:aimeeyork |
Just saw this and I cannot say how sorry I am that you and your family are going through this. Praying for their safe return.... |
Would anyone be willing.... Hi, I read on another thread that some missing Yorkies were found on Facebook by people posting pics on their profile. Would anyone be willing to take the pic of my two and upload to their facebook? I prayed about it this morning and I really believe I'm going to get them back. I'm not going to stop :) |

I started a FB group for lost/stolen pets. It's open forum, so any FB member can post. The more people we can get the word out to, the more likely we are to reunite families. Login | Facebook Come on by and join. Tell your friends. |

Two Yorkies taken the friday before Mother's Day in the North end of New Bedford MA. Both a year and a half old. Ksena's spayed, sweet, about 7lbs, jumps real high and wiggles when excited. Jonah's nuetered, about 15lbs, not so sweet but fun, sits pretty, pees on command and plays dead when you shoot him. We love them both and miss them!!!!! Is that okay? I think I put everything.... Again, thank you:) |

Well got another call.... 2 Attachment(s) I got another call today saying there was a Yorkie found so I called the place that has them (they actually have 3) and realized one couldn't be mine but the other two might have been. Anyway, they'll try and find the owner for 10 days but I think they're up for grabs after that. If anyone is interested you can contact: Wignall Animal Hospital 1837 Bridge Street Dracut, MA 01826 P: 978-454-8272 |
Yes that sounds great! :) Quote:

I hope your babies return to you safe & sound some day soon. We'll continue to pray for the safe return of all the babies that have been lost & stolen. I think if there is one thing I've learned from reading the lost/stolen threads is that you should never give up. There are a lot of stories out there of pets being returned months, even years, after going missing. Stay strong. You've got lots of support here at YT! |

Some people... I got a call today from a woman who saw one of my flyers and she actually offered up a puppy for my kids. She's got a pregnant Yorkie that got together with her mom's Pom which she's not to thrilled about but she actually said she'd be happy to give the kids a puppy!! I know it's a mix but not the point, the gesture was so unbelievable kind I just had to share it. I thanked her from the bottom of my heart and told her we got another puppy and we're just hoping to get our dogs back. Keep in mind that I've never met this woman and she doesn't know my kids. I was just so overwhelmed... Seriously, for every jerk there is someone who makes up for it:) Prayers right now would be great! I actually got a petamberalert and another service that calls neighbors with the news of my missing dogs. I'm hoping someone will have it in them to give them back. I wish I would have thought of it before but better late than never! |
I think I've thought of everything but does anyone have any other ideas on how to find them? |
Oh Rebecca.... I was hoping that you were posting they had been found..... I am so sorry they have not been returned yet.... |

Just found out via facebook that someone else in my area had their Yorkie stolen. Waiting to hear back from the person to find out how close he lives to me.....Maybe it's the same person taking them and there is hope in finding them.... |
Sending lots of prayers your way. I am so paranoid about someone stealing my 3 I will not let them outside except on a leash. I have double locks on all of my doors hoping no one can break into the house. I know this is so devastating for you. Praying they will be home soon. There are lots of great ideas on YT on how to find a lost yorkie. |
This is terrible, I am so sorry |
I'm praying for your miracle... |
That's terrible! :( Did you send the flyers to the vet and groomers? On the forum, someone posted about Chihuahua being stolen & I saw the pictures of people trying to find the Chihuahua & they did the helium balloon attached with the info. I thought it was a brilliant idea. Praying that you will find your babies again soon! A groomer's Yorkie was stolen from the motel & she did not take it very well. She was having such difficult time grooming dogs & she no longer could groom her clients anymore. I don't know if she is on YT. Poor babies and their owners. Why are people so evil? Why do Yorkies have to be expensive? I think breeds that are very expensive are at high risk of being stolen even I know many purebred & mixed dogs are stolen. My Dachshund was stolen & it hurts so much not knowing where she is & if she's alive or not. It's been two years & it still hurts. :'( |
Sending prayers that you will find your babies! |
It makes me cringe at the thought of what is the purpose behind stealing them. One can hope they are selling them to people who are kind and love animals. I hope your dogs are safe. It's too bad we don't have cctv cameras up in residential areas |
