finally let Gigi sleep with us. Well our Westie is the Queen of the house so she has always slept with us but last night I let Gigi sleep with us for the first time. I thought we would try it because we are going away for the summer and not setting up her pen and leaving it out would be very helpful. She did great! I still got up early (6:30) to let her out, but during the night there was no problem. Gigi is going to be 8 months soon. do you think she will always need to be walked so early or grow out of it? |
She will get better, and on a schedule. As soon as I get up mine go outside. Remember she is still a pup. Good Luck. I am owned by my Westie too! |
She might always want to get up for an early wee,but then when she goes through her teenage years, she will probably be happy to go back to bed for another hour or 2 of sleep! Thats what Molly does, and although getting up to let her out at 6am is hard, i find i can now drop back off to sleep quite quickly! :) |
When Bandit slept with us he slept longer and could (or should I say would lol) hold off on going to the bathroom for a few hours longer haha. |
Jackson has slept with me since he was around 16 weeks old. We've never had any accidents during the night. I have a baby gate in my bedroom doorway. As a pup, he used to wake me up super early, and until about 16-17 weeks, he was waking me up in the middle of the night, too. I would say around 10 months old was when he began sleeping in late... now, he sometimes will sleep in with me until 10am on the weekends (as long as I let him out around 11pm or midnight). |
haha.. my yorkie is 8 mths old now.. she sleeps with me.. and doesnt "go" on the bed.. i think generally dogs/pups just dont go where they usually sleep on the contrary.. she jumps on my brother's bed on purpose and took her leak there -_- or that one time where i disturbed her and messed with her... boy oh boy.. she took revenge on me by pee-ing on my bed T_T never ever mess with yorkies =_= |
Question is, how did you sleep? I found when I first let Ruby sleep with me, I was up off and on during the night, afraid I would roll over on her, or she would fall off the bed. I sure feel the love when the cat and 2 dogs are on the bed with me:) |
