Kacee was spayed today... I took Kacee in at 8:20 and she is already waking up and the doctor said she did fine. I can pick her up this evening before 5:00. Whew! I feel a little better now that I've talked to them. I'll admit I shed a few tears as I was leaving. It's so darned hard to leave them. :( But she'll be home tonight. I hope she does OK. :) |
Shes a Champ and she will be fine in no time! this battle is over! :) |
OH GOOD !!! That's really great news - it's way harder on us I think ...I boohoo'd so bad they had to get me kleenex....it's sooooo hard leaving them and they give you that face like they're saying "Why Mom?" ? You just have to remember she'll sleep most of the day and by the time you see her - she should be feeling better... but still tired.....and you get to love on her all you want... |
After I talked to the doctor a little while ago, I did start crying! I think it was relief though. It's been 14 years since I've been through this. Let me tell you that it isn't any easier. I'm just as big of a baby now. :( This vet raises little yorkies so I felt safer with her. |
I am so glad to see kacee did well...i cried as well when I dropped Gracie off...it was the hardest thing ever!!! Give her some extra loving from Gracie and me this next week!!!! |
So glad to hear Kacee is doing well. I know it's not easy, It's soooooo hard on us. She will be tired, but soon she will be running all over the place, and really happy there's no more "heat" time! You take care of yourself too, I'm sure your stress was way up there today! Sending Kacee hugs!!! (((((((Kacee))))))) :lovewings :lovewings :lovewings :lovewings |
I am feeling so much better now having read this. I had to drop of my little Sancho about 2 hours ago for his neutering and I was good till I got to my car and then burst into tears. I love him so much and I'm scared to death and I'm glad I'm not the only one to go through it like that. I just worry about him so much. He had seizures months and months ago and it was never determined what brought them on and I'm a nervous wreck right now because of everything they're doing and the fact that he couldn't eat last night (being hypoglycemic and all). Send me lots of positive thoughts please because I'm stuck here at work and I really just want to be holding my little baby right now. |
That is great that her surgery is done and she is in recovery. I know you must feel a huge relief to have this done and behind you. Its great that she gets to come home this evening. So many vets want to keep them overnight but I think its best when they go home. Good luck. |
Glad everything went well, my Rosi got to go in to be spayed on Thusday morning , and am sick to my stomach thinking about it, i am going to have a heck of a time taking her in.... Keep us posted ! |
Joey is getting neutered right now! I hate this!! I am so scared...I know there is nothing to worry about, but Joey went through so much trauma at a young age (he was stepped on and was in ICU for five days), so I feel so guilty leaving him right now......I miss him already and I love him SO much! |

Stacisnyder04 is going to be at my vets office this afternoon, so they might let her go see my Kacee. I won't be there till later. :( |
Kacee has done very well today. She didn't eat anything last night, so I gave her a little water which they said she could have and some nutrical. Today she has eaten and by tonight her appetite was back and she ate well. I've just notice she's had momentary pain or discomfort, but otherwise she has played a little bit. One of the first things she did this morning was want to go outside to check out her yard. :D |
I'm glad to hear that she's doing well. I'm dreading it like the plague taking Callie in...which I need to do pretty soon. I hope she has a speedy recovery. We all hope she is well enough to join us, but if not we'll be thinking of you both. Give her hugs from us too. |
Thanks. I don't know if I dare take her that soon. I know I'm very protective. That's just me, though. But we'll see. :D |
That's fine. I wouldn't take Callie if it was her, so I totally understand. I'm glad she's better. How are you now? hopefully now that she's home you're doing ok now too. Just know that we'll miss you both, but we'll catch you at the next one:) |
I'm fine now. Catching up on my sleep, since neither of us slept that good Friday night. :D Dr. Morland is very, very good and I trusted her more than anyone, especially since she raises yorkies. ;) |
I'm very nervous also. Isabella is going Tuesday morning & I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about it. She is 7 months old & weighs 2 lbs. She has adult teeth coming in along with her baby teeth so she needs to get the baby teeth pulled. Otherwise I would wait. I know I am going to cry. I hate leaving her. I'm glad she is home & safe with her Mommy!!! I'm sure you are glad that it is over! |

Thank you Karen for your concern. Isabella & I appreciate it!!! Kacee is lucky to have such a wonderful Mommy that loves her so dearly. I will definitely let you know how it went. Again we appreciate your kindness!!! |
Susan goes in to be spayed on Wednesday. The vet wants to keep her all night. I noticed Kacee is going home the same day. What's the deal? Susan is 6 mos and weighs over 6 lbs. |
I know how you all feel. When I took Snoodles in, I made sure he would give her the right anesthesia, and take the blood test before surgery. He also wanted to keep her over night, but I know in this small town, they come in twice a night to check on them. I was afraid something might go wrong when no one was there. So, I insisted on taking her home. They said they wouldn't be responsible if something happened to her, but I knew I would be right there if something did happen and I could run her back in. Needless to say, she did fine, she was 6 mos. old and weighed in the vicinity of 2#. I stayed up all night with her---she was sleepy, but the next day I had my hands full trying to keep her from jumping on the furniture. But she did real good. She does have scar tissue where he cut her open, but I can't do anything about that! It is so scary, and I will certainly keep you all in my thoughts and prayers! Pat |
Glad she did so well... I know your so happy that is all behind you now~ I'm so happy she did o.k.... :) Sophie has that yet still to go~ I kind of dread it...she is 6 mos. old now... |

My Vet does Laser surgery, so there is less pain & they get to come home the same day. They run all the blood tests previous to surgery which is mandatory so to make sure that everything is fine before they go under anesthesia. |
