looking for a new baby Hi all,.. It's me,. Priscilla.. been a while.. Some of you might know I had a yorkie myself Snikers.. and a year ago I left my ex.. and left my baby and my other precious dog at his. So now a year later.. im still not over it, but im pretty ready for a new baby. Im looking for a baby girl. a small one. Here is the thing. I'm goig to the States in August for a month. ( L.A , Vegas and possible Florida) Now i would like to find a baby girl there and then bring it with me back to Europe Amsterdam. Anyone know if this is possible.. and where there are possible babygirls from a good breeder. To be honest i can find a lot of yorkie sellers. but they charge sometimes between $3200 and $6000 for a baby. So my price range is a little less. Between $1000 and $2500 is a better prce range for me. I want her not to big.. but maybe adult size: 3 - 4Lbs.. Hope some of you will help me out, Thanks in advance. Love Priscilla |
good luck good luck with your search the name caught my eye my boston was named snickers! rest in peace snickers Ill always love you anyway I got my boy in ga we only paid 600.00 and he is perfect, so if you look around in the states don't think you have to give that much, if your set on size well maybe a recue over 1 year? my boy axel is 9months and 5 1/2 pounds but you know you have had pups there is not gaurantee on size. |
yes but my other yorkie snickers was much bigger then standard.. he was 12 pounds ,. i think more.. lol but i dont mind if the babygirl is a little bit bigger,. but i need her to travel with me too.. i do travel sometimes with plane i europe and train,. :D:D thanks for your reply. love priscilla Quote:

Hi Pris, wich you the best on your search for your little one, maybe going to breeders.net, and visiting here the breeder section, will help, take your time the right one will come to you:aimeeyork |
Hi Priscilla, The breeder that I got my little guy from is in Florida. She has 2 litters at this time with some females. I will PM you her information. She is a great breeder, show person and rescue and she loves her babies. Good luck on your search. |
Thanks ,. yes i think when the time is right to have a baby girl.. i will see when .. I hope to find a baby girl while im in the States. Need to figure out first how i can bring it back with me in the plane.. kisss Quote:

I want to add something to my former post.. I think between 3.5 and 5lbs is better.. im not really good in the lbs sizes lol .. im from europe,. and we talke in Kilograms.. so even 4 or 5 lbs is small i figured out now lol. but my other yorkie was 13lbs at least. so thats pretty big hahah But i read alot about the small small very small babies.. and thats pretty scary.. So i think the weight prox about that is great. then i can still play with her without being scared that she will die or something because she is sooo tiny. :D |
I would also find out if you will have to quarantine your new baby when you get home. I don't know if animals going into another country from the U.S. need to. I pretty sure they usually do coming into the U.S. so maybe vise versa. Good luck with your search :) Don't forget to show us pictures :) |
there is NO quarantine for animals going into Amsterdam American Women's Club of Amsterdam - Pets |
Here is another site I found for other countries and states like Hawaii DogFriendly.com - Pet Regulations (Customs/Quaratines) for Entry into Various Countries |
Good luck in your search for your new baby :) |
Oh good...Glad there are no quarantine regulations. I remember my Aunt's dog had to be quarantined a long time ago when they moved...I was little, but I remember hearing about it. :) |
To travel, it would be a good idea to get the breeder to have their vet start a pet passport for your future pet. I have one that I get updated every time Rizzo gets a shot. When October comes around he'll get his booster for rabies and I will be able to take him to the UK without quarantine...at least that is what I took from the readings. Elsewhere in Europe, as long as the vet signed off that the dog is in healthy condition for travel it will suffice as a health certificate. Just a good idea. Thanks for the info.. and true no guarantaine is needed for amsterdam. And maybe i fly from germany and no need that to. :D kisss x Quote:

yes thanks for this info.. I have fond out myself if i would pick my baby up in august.. i can best fly with united i find out, they have a pet safe plan or something like that. I can have her then as hand luggage with me under the seat. And that €90 .. or in the bigger luggage thing and thats €150 .. I have emailed now a few breeders what they do for shipping... i really dont know how far georgia is from florida for example.. But i will find out. i have actually fell in love with Angel.. a baby girl from GA. So maybe im lucky,. and if im not then i will soon I hope. Im still looking everywhere.. and also been on the internet for about 4 days searching etc. ppff its a pretty big business in the States. SO many people charge redicilous amount of money for their babies.. And they are soooo tiny that in my opinion is not healthy at all. pppfff. well at least im still looking.. :D x Quote:

I had a family who bought a puppy but they were moving to Amsterdam, so we set it up to have the pup shipped from here to NJ where their lay over was from Florida to Amsterdam. They picked their puppy up in NJ, and were staying with family for a couple of days. Then they flew to Amsterdam with their puppy under the seat in the plane with them. they had NO problems, and the puppy did awesome! When flying overseas do not put the puppy in cargo (luggage), it is just too dangerous and too long on a flight like that. As far as I know all airlines will let you carry your puppy/dog on the plane with you as long as they can fit comfortably in a soft sided carrier under the seat. I highly recommend getting a sherpa soft sided carrier, they are the best for flying. PS: you do not need a rabies unless the pup is over 14 weeks. Under 14 weeks they are exempt |
I also got my lil one in ga. She was $ 800.00 dollars and is 9 months old and a even 3 lbs and very healthy and so full of energy plays not stop all day pat |
im hoping for angel the cute girl from 5 months. :) and i will pick her up then if im the lucky one and then will bring her into the plabe under my seat yes. :) :) i cant wait ,. where can i buy those carriers? in the states? petco? Quote:

i was wondering was it difficult to potty train her on that age? x Quote:

She was all ready useing the pee pads when i got her |
I got Gracie at 7 months and she was used to a doggy door and piddle pads but she was pretty easy to train to go outside. We didn't have a doggy door then, we do now;) But sometimes she still has accidents but not very often especially since we put in the door. I paid only $700.00 for her from a local breeder because she had floppy ears. I weighed her 2 days ago and she was 4.8 pounds. I am still hoping she will fill out and weigh more but having my doubts. She just turned a year old on the 9th and has gone through her first heat. She is a very sweet, calm dog. I don't think you will have any problems training an older pup as long as the pups has been in the breeders home and had some beginning training. |
you have photos of your babies?? want to see some more of your precious babies:) i see your avatar tooo cute:) and Angel i was after is taken for now:( So im still looking,, but thx for the info abiut the potty training, i was wondering how it went with some yorkies from a few months. :) kiss Quote:

I know you're excited about getting a new puppy but please take your time to find a good breeder - first. All puppies are cute. And contrary to popular belief - really good breeders don't charge a lot of money. Really good breeders are more concerned about placing their pups with good people and in good homes. Please look around. Here's hoping you find the puppy of your dreams! :) |
i know but been searching since last year nov.. And I know exactly what i want. Thats why i posted it here instead of going to the internet and rder the first puppy i see. :D Quote:
