I've found the perfect yorkie poo picker upper I was in Lowes last week and they had the little Shop Vacs marked down from $44 to $19.97. Not being one to pass up a deal, I just couldn't resist. Even tho I had no idea what role it would come to play. I'm somewhat Vacuum poor and really didn't need another one. Miss Ellie tend to scatter her poo in little pieces and it's a real pain to pick them up with a paper towel. Enter the Shop Vac. What an amazing job it does picing up the poo. I keep it handy and use the long tube assembly without an attachment on the end. Until she's properly pad trained (whenever that will be) the Shop Vac will make my life so much easier. Highly recommended. It's the 6 gallon model. not the smallest but just the right size as far as i'm concerned. |
You pick up poop with a vacuum? I am stunned. If she has poop you can pick up with a vacuum you may want to think about a change of diet. While poop should be firm it should not be rock hard. To each their own. |
I have the perfect pet pooper scooper- my teenage daughter, LOL. She's a whole lot more expensive though :) |

Make sure you are still spraying the area with a good cleaner, or she will continue to smell the poop and continue to use the area as a bathroom. |

Although I don't, I could pick up Bonnie's poop with a vacuum too. I feed NV Raw, and she has very firm, dry poop.:rolleyes (Don't know why I had the urge to share that. LOL) |
Vacuum cleaners have an exhaust. By using one to suck up pet poop, you will be exhausting pet poop aerosols into the air around you everytime you use it. You will be breathing pet poop aerosols! Ewwew! |

Zena poops outside. It is dry enough to handle with any tool after a few hours in the sun. |

I didn't realize till I went and read more of the OP's post that he is a man. I had assumed all along it was a woman and was totally shocked a woman would do such a thing. But now knowing it is in fact a man. I totally understand. |
Miss EllieMae You go girl! People only react to what relates to them and I, for one, salute your ingenuity! Every post on this site is an answer for WHAT WORKS FOR THEM....and so it should be. Happy picking up poop! |

I would not recommend anyone cleaning poo with a vaccum of any kind..there has to be some health concerns involved. If i were you I would still continue to follow your pup around with a tissue cleaning up her mess's or keep putting her on the pad untill she is finished and I agree that you should clean the area where she has poo'ed or she will continue going to that spot. Good luck!! |
