I've become one of "those people"... I used to laugh at the people I saw out walking their dogs in all states of dress or pajamas or whatever (I even have one neighbor who comes out in his boxers!). However, now I've become one of those people! I take Roxie out in the morning with my hair a mess, in my jammies, with no bra on, glasses, and makeup smears under my eyes. Hot stuff I tell ya! ;) If anyone would've ever told I would be doing this, I would've told them they were nuts! Is there anything you never thought you'd do...until you got a dog? |
We have always had dogs, all through my growing up...My mom was the throw up person for dogs...I swore I would never clean it up...it makes me ill...now that I own a couple of my own, I can't always pawn that off on my Hubby...I do clean it up when I have too...still makes me ill... Their stool no prob, cleaning a fanny no problem, but barf....ewwwwww |

I only walk mine dressed as if I were going to the store - my fear is something will happen and I'll be caught with my pants (or lack of them) down my son used to laugh at me - he said why do you need makeup to walk the dogs ? my answer - "you never know who you'll come across" since I'm a widow now - even more important I try to look decent (not that I'm looking cause I'm not) |
Hold an umbrella in the rain over the dog instead of me so she can do her business. : ) |

my chanel loves being wet - Cheri hates it - talk about a face of sheer misery - but she tries ! |
ha ha. I just came in from walking my dogs in my backyard in my jammies (hiding behind a tree because one of my neighbors was out in their backyard). :blush08: |
Yep, never thought I'd be giving wet raspberries on a puppy's tummy:eek: Somehow my baby voice came out when I got her too:) |
Okay, I've totally been tempted to do the raspberry thing on Chloe but I haven't succumbed yet!! :) And yes, I go out in my jammies and no make up to walk the dog in the mornings. I don't so much mind the pajamas, but I never thought I'd go anywhere without make up on and we live in a duplex (with lots of other duplexes all around) so I don't exactly have the privacy of a yard or anything. Oh well...she takes priority! For me, it's letting her lick me on the face. I always kinda rolled my eyes at those kind of people and even with my poodle I wouldn't let him lick my face. But his breath smelled bad and he licked himself a lot. Chloe's breath doesn't smell and I've never seen her licking herself "down there"....so now I ask for "sugars" and she'll lick my nose. I don't encourage her to lick my mouth because other people don't like it (my mother...), but I'm not grossed out by it any more. -C |
Cleaning a dog's butt.....never in a million years did I ever think I would be doing something like that before I got Brandi.:( |
Cleaning eye buggers - and I really dig deep for them and try to get the crusties out too. :D:eek: |
ha, ha, ha, I have done the jammies, no bra, hat over the messy hair things. Mind you, I don't go anywhere without filing in my eyebrows as I don't have any, ;) except when I walk the dogs. lol And yes, I have been known to carry them to and from potty when it's been raining. |

Oh yeah....I forgot about the eye boggers! |
Everything i used to a very well groomed person now i take the dogs out and the kids to school in my day old scrubs that often times have slept in most of the time my hair is pulled back into a ponytail that dose not look brushed (i have curly hair so even if it is brushed it looks like its not) normally i change into a fresh set of scrubs for work and school i have been out of work for a while now i find that i dont have a lot of clothes i had to barrow a sweater from my 16 year old sister yesterday because the only one i have is white with a dozen pockets and i thought it might look strange with a sundress |
3rd party convos. Or talking for my dog. I did not do this for my largers dogs in my younger years. Dressing my dogs.... i know.. Not taking vacations unless the dogs can go too. |
Whipping out my pictures of Neo when anybody asks about my "kids". He always gets referred to by me or DH as our "young-un". |
