Belly bands can anyone tell me where to buy them? perrito is driving me crazy!! i love him to pieces and he's a good boy but lately he's being naugthy... |

For a quick fix you can cut the top of a old sock and place a pad inside then slide around his belly till you can either order or find a belly band in the store. For what it's worth. The ones you will find at pet stores have elastic on the edges for adjustability and in my option is useless as a belly band. Save yourself the headache and measure well and invest in a few good quality bands. |
yorkie haven rescue sells them and it goes to a good cause my friend bought some from them just a few weeks ago :) Yorkie Haven Rescue Boutique |
thank you all!:) |

If you get them from someone who cuts them to fit perfect, they stay on better... plus the kind that are made from a nice fabric with no elastic are more comfortable for the dog. |
Yes sorry I forgot to get back to this post. I agree with the post before me 100 % about it not fitting right and being uncomfortable. My biggest problem seamed to be a good fit. I got mine for a young puppy when visiting family so that we wouldn't have any accidents... they were useless they would either ride up b/c he would roll around to get it off b/c it was all squishy. And trying to get a regular liner to say in one of these is a PITB. the ones w/o sticky would just bunch up. The ones with the sticky would catch hair and pull. The bumpkin ones have velcro to my understanding so no bunching or hair snagging. |
I've never used one of these. Have those of you who have found they slowed down housebreaking? If not, I'm thinking it might be a good thing for my parents puppy since he's so darn fast and my dad has a hard time getting the lead on him "in time". |
Actually no it hasn't slowed down potty training. It just keeps me from cleaning up "accidental" potty mishaps. I still use the no when he potties in the wrong place and take him to the spot he should potty on. 9 times out of 10 I only use it when we visit someone or we are traveling in the car and im not sure when our next stop will be. The few times I have used it in the house has been when we have friends over and im not able to keep a full eye on him but want him to be out to meet everyone. And because I think pittle pads are not pretty for guest to see I take them up. Then put them back down when they leave. |

I assume this is a reference to T. Bumpkins & Co. bellybands. We use no elastic in our diapering products as this can snag the coat and leave indentations. We use only fine organic cotton inside our bellybands and diapers and the outer fabrics are cotton or cotton/poly depending on the buyer's selection. We do use a velcro-like fastener that is extremely durable to close the band or diaper. We have received excellent feedback regarding these products.
