Precious has about a 2 1/2" to 3"tail, must be the vet was charging by the inch lol. we crack up when she gets excited bc her "nub" look just like a rattler it's so cute! |

Thank God I live in the UK where mutilating yorkies is now illegal! There's nothing nicer than seeing a yorkie with a tail, and even before docking was banned over here, most people who purchased a yorkie insisted the breeder left it where it belongs...on the dog so it can communicate properly with other dogs. |
magic also just has a stub. he is full coated and we keep the hair on tail longer so it appears like he has a tail. he is fine though and i don't think it has ever bothered him. glad to know i'm not the only yorkie owner with a little guy who had his tail cut to short. |

My parents had a Schnauzer that pretty much had no tail. A little nub was all that was left. The breeder they got her from said the vet cut it too short. We ask the vet to leave the tails of our Yorkies on the longer side. I think its much prettier and many people are doing that too. |
maddie has a nub too, hers is about 1/2 inch {maybe}---im trying to grow out her coat, i would say its about 1/2 way there, but when she wags her nub, you just see her ponytail move--i say ponytail cuz thats what it looks like when she wags her nub, just alittle movement. but i love her little nub.:D |
Bailey has a nub too, very difficult to hold on to when doing the butt trim! :) |
