My little Yorkie 1 Attachment(s) Hello all fellow Yorkie owners:) just thought I would post a picture of Yorkie taken by our groomer, thought it was quite a good one. Also to ask if I should let my daughters knew puppy which is a pit bull/Rottweiler play together, I am a bit worried but her pup does seem quite placid, but can I trust her. Originally I thought it was a pit bull/doberman:eek:, they played last sunday, but really I just don't know whether I should continue to do that. Look forward to your replies, and wish you all a great day. Another real Yorkie lover. |
My little Yorkie 2 Attachment(s) Hi everyone thought I would post another two of my photos as I don't know whether the other photo went with my letter, as I am knew to posting photos, never mindI guess I will get more used of it as I go on, really looking forward to getting to know you all. Love to all the other little Yorkies Leone. |
awe - how cute!!! Great look!! My son has 2 pitbulls in the same house as my 2 grandsons. They have had them since they were 8 weeks old so they know what kind of enviroment they have been subjected to. These dogs are great with the boys (9 months, and 5 years) - not to say it doesn't make me a bit nervous. They stay in a fenced in yard and their neighbor has a little chihuhauha that comes to the fence and both dogs just lay down on their bellies to go nose to nose with it (through the fence of course). But the Pits have a bad reputation - which unfortunately outweighs any positive that there was about them before people got a hold of them and destroyed them. While I am not a fan - I feel that they didn't just BECOME agressive - bad owners/breeders are to thank for that. ANY large dog can hurt a tiny dog (gosh I have a 20 lb cat that worries me sometimes) - even while playing (a nip, a step or even a sit), so I have chosen to not do play-dates with them. If something were to happen it not only would be devastating if not deadly to my Bridget, but I think there may be a lot of guilt and hard feelings afterwards....and to me it's just not worth taking the chance. It's just my opinion. Good luck I know you'll make the right decision for you and your little one. |
You baby is so good looking :) but does not look like a purebred Yorkie to me. Do you know what is he/she is mixed with? |
Aww...so cute :D |
How beautiful!!! Love those floppy ears. I had a Yorkie foster once that looked just like that and I bought a little bonnet for her that looked just adorable on her. |

Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing and welcome to Yorkie Talk. |
If you wanted to have your yorkie play around the pit bull mix, never do it unsupervised. The pit bull may not mean any harm, but as someone said earlier, one step and your pup could get hurt, and seriously so. I, personally, think pit bulls are beautiful and it's a shame what bad people have done to their temperament and reputation. I also know a few people who have pits and they are all lovely dogs. |
He is a cutie!! |
