Please help!! Hey guys I am at wits end with Peanut!!! I started to notice him peeing in certian spots, and then he started pooping where ever he wanted to!! He is pad trained, I know he was never really 110% trained but now it seems like he just doesnt give a hoot and pees and poops where ever he feels like. So I got a baby gate and started to lock him in the kitchen when my DH and I are at work. Then say we leave to go out to dinner we will just leave him free, now I noticed this morning as I was vacuming, little pee spots by the bathroom door, oh and I must tell you he LOVES to pee on the bath rugs so I shut the door, but now he is PEEING ON THE DOOR!!!! ERGHHH I dont know what to do with him anymore!! All I ask is that he pees on his pad!!! He is spoiled rotten!! What am I going to have to do? Lock him in the kitchen his whole life?? I dont want to put one of those belly band things on him.. What is a good way to get him trained?? Please help!! My carpet is not his pee pad!! |
Maybe you should try crate training and teach him to go outside? I pad trained my last dog and am crate training Precious and it's working a MILLION times better. There's no confusion...outside is the only place to go. Of course, it's preference :) |

If you went to train him to use a pee pad on your patio I would suggest that you tether him to you at all times while he is inside. Put his harness and leash on and keep him attacked at your side. Every 20 minutes take him our to potty and is he goes he can be given a little freedom but if not he needs to stay right by your side. I'm not sure why you are opposed to belly bands they will save your carpet. You need to purchase a good Enzymatic cleaner to clean all of the urine stains. Otherwise he will continue to think your entire house is his pee pad. |

Hmm so the interesting fact of today was when I came home from work I let him out of his kitchen cage, and I looked at the pad and he had no pee on the pad! So I let him outside and told him to go potty on his pad and he went!! A big ol puddle!! Soooo this might work  |
