YOUR Yorkie Can Be "Aware", Too
 
Breast cancer is something that is a real foe of mine. My mom has it and has been battling it for a while.

I came across this collar and wanted everyone to know that the proceeds to go the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. :thumbup:

Our Petco has them, they also had some other doggy and kitty stuff. I think they even had a doggy tee shirt.

Kristy~ I am sorry to hear about your mom. My aunt died of the disease, my mil is a survivor and my daughter's boyfriend's mother died of it when he was only 8 yrs old.

I have a friend who is a survivor and my daughter is friends with her daughter so they decided to put a team together for the 3 Day Walk in honor of her and they called it Team Reg (her name is Regina) My niece and SIL were on the team as well...there were 5 high school seniors and 4 moms who were on the team. They raised $2500 each!!

I was so proud of all of them when I attended the closing ceremonies Sunday....the energy and positive atmosphere even after 3 days and walking 60 miles was incredible!! I was crew and helped but I didn't walk due to other kid obligations and my birthday but I am sorry now and I might do it next year.

I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get involved in this worthwhile cause.

OHHHHH You can buy material with the pink ribbon for the cause too. Not sure if the site you posted has it, I haven't checked. It would make wonderful Yorkie Dresses :thumbup: If anyone would like some I would be happy to send half a yard no charge. Just PM me. I bought a few yards for the cause . :aimeeyork

That is so cute! And for a good cause too. In the past years many family friends have been battling breast cancer. I wish your mom the best!!

Kristy: Thanks for the link. I'm going to get one for a friend who has a female dog. I had no idea about your mom. There are many advances now and I know that women are surving in record numbers. I'm sending nothing but love to your mom.
