Jumping out of her pen?? Ok Now I know that many of you guys have ex pens, My question is how in the world do you keep them from jumping out? Bella is only 12 weeks old. and her pen is like 2 1/2 feet tall and she is soooo tiny, but she is jumping right the heck out....she figured this out this morning, and now there is no containing her. so how do you keep your babies from doing this???? HELP. |
Wow! Roxie hasn't ever tried to jump out of hers. I think she likes it in there...it's like her little house. If she did try to jump out, though, mine came with a mesh top that zippers on. |
I have three dogs and my smallest (2lbs6oz) jumps out so natural it's actually funny. I have to put her in a crate if she needs to really stay put. It is dangerous for them to be doing that, they can break their shoulder or leg just about any bone. I call her my lil' cat :D |

I have one that climbed the X=pen from the time she was 8 weeks old. She is the only one of mine that does it. She is 3 yrs old now and still climbs the x-pen. What I ended up doing was put a sheet over the x-pen and hold it in place with clothespins every foot or so. That stopped her in her tracks. |
I did the sheet thing, too. I just used a fitted sheet and works great. |
Thanks for the help guys. I think for her safety, Im gonna have to go back to using the crate and put up with her whining and barking. she is so tiny I defiantly dont want a broken leg or something, I still am in shock that she can jump like this as little as she is...it was something to see let me tell ya! |
