What a kind heart you have for rescueing this Bull Dog. Maybe if you do a Internet search you can find out all sorts of info on this breed. I personally am not familiar with them, however I think they are cute!! You might want to keep the Yorkie seperated from the Bull Dog until your vet does a complete check up on him. Shots, etc... Good luck. |
thank's well i have looked on the internet but unlike the yorky's most of the web site's are selling or breeding bull'svery little on temperment's and care...but thank you wish there was a site like this one. yorky_mom |
I also have no experience with bull dogs, but my bf has a pitbull which i have to say, it is the most discriminated breed. I don;t think it is only the breed makes the dog, it does influence a lot but that is not all...since it is already an adult it might be a little harder to train, but not impossible. The AKC website says this about the breed: Temperament The disposition should be equable and kind, resolute and courageous (not vicious or aggressive), and demeanor should be pacific and dignified. These attributes should be countenanced by the expression and behavior. What i would make sure to do is just to introduce them in a neutral territory. Don;t forget yorkies are terriers and are very very territorial...so at the same time a bulldog can be very loving and sweet, your yorkie might be trying to show him all the time who is the boss...but i do believe they can leave peacifully. I was just dogsitting a pit for a friend a couple of weeks ago, him and Mojo got along just fine, just have pacience with the potty training and you will suceed. It is a very nice attitute... Good luck!!! |
I just think you are a special person to give this dog a try and wish you all the best - iif anyone can help this doggie - it's YOU!! Please keep us updated!! Ana xx :) |
It is so nice of you to take in the bulldog! Would suggest you get a crate and start crate training. |
