Correction, grape seed extract. It is identified, via research, to be an an antioxident......So, I'm having some difficulty understanding what the toxity is in the grape itself vs the extract.

Some places call it oil instead of extract, anyway maybe the oil doesn't have the incrediant that causing the problem.

There was a report done on the Today Show I think last year, they warned people about the harmful effects grapes & raisins can have on dogs.

yeah that is why it is seedless and seeded grapes both cause the issue as it is not the seed

Now with avocado it is not the meat that is toxic it is the seed as many people feed avocado meat to their dogs and there is avoderm food so as long as the dog does not eat the seed you are ok

I wasn't aware about the avocado, thanks! Never given avocados to mine, now that I know, I might just let them try them!:D

I bought a bag of trail mix at Costco last week. Well my dh was sitting in the backyard eating some and I was gardening. I saw him give the babies someand I just screamed,"don't give them that". Hi said he only gave them a raisin. I went berzerk. I told him that they can't have that. I told him that they could have the peanuts only. He thought I was a crazy lady. He was never allowed to give the kids medicine when they were small, and now he can't go near my babies with any food unless he askes me first!!!
