teapot hey ya'll I think penny's gonna make it into the teapot club shes 5 months on the first and between 4.5 and 5 pounds shes soo big now i so pround |
Penny is a cutie! So what are the actual qualifications for a teapot? |
umm well " teacup" is smaller then 4 lbs so im guessing "teapot" would be 8 plus full grown |
yipeee a big girl. Lily is certainly making the teapot club she is 4.5lbs at 12 weeks so thats a certainty i think. Of course thats me weighing her on my scales but she has vet on thursday so will know better then her true weight no doubt she is nearer 5lbs by then :D I'm glad she is going to be a teapot as i have the two big dogs so she will be safer from harm :D yvonne xx |
Hmm.... I might have a teapot in the making on my hands too. Rocco is 4.5 months old and weighed in at 5lbs last week at the vet...nice, solid little boy :) |

Definitely think I have a teapot on my hands! Napoleon is 5.5 weeks old and weighs close to 2lbs. When he nurses he looks like a 4 year old would if they were nursing on a human! What I don't get is that mom is 4.5# and dad is 4#! not sure if this was because he was the only one in the litter or what! He's a little chunker (our porkychop) that is for sure! We are proud card carrying members of the teapot club! :-) |

I'm not sure if Puddie actually qualifies as a teapot, or if I should just run him around the block a little more often :rolleyes: . Well, me too. But he's such a fine, sturdy fellow :D |
the emergency vet said Pann weighs 8.5 lbs :eek: lol so I guess he would be a teapot he doesn't seem big to me though but our puggle weighs about 20 lbs so.... |
I've got a teapot too. Rox weighed in @ 7 lbs yesterday. He will be 9 months in May. I don't know where he puts it because he looks a bit too thin for me!:p |

My boy is 1.5 years old and 16lbs now. :) He was at 12lbs for a loonnggg time, but apparently (according to last vet visit) he's 16lbs! :eek: Most of it is muscle. |

Neo is a teapot. He just turned a year old April 16 and hovers between 8.5 and 9 lbs. I don't know how, tho because its like pulling teeth to get him to eat!:cool: |
Pixie is at 6 pounds and growing (expected to be about 9-10)... I LOVE that she will be over the standard when full grown. Our Papillon is also a hefty boy... but gorgeous and perfect! I wouldn't have them any other way! <3 |
Miss Maddy is a teapot... she is about 8.5 pounds, but a pound has to be in fur! :eek: To the original poster, your Penny reminds me SOOO much of my Maddy at her age! Floppy ears and all! |
Mabel is 4 months and weighs 5.6 lbs, so she's going to have to join the teapot club too! My son calls her a "Yorkiechop!" |
Yeahhh! Teapot's are great, Shayna is 16 months and has toped out at 10lbs, but is now pregnant so she's gonna get bigger.:) |
I guess my Charlie is going to be a teapot, too. When I took him for his first visit to the vet at 13 weeks he weighed 7.5 pounds and the vet thinks he'll get to possibly 15 or 20!! I didn't realize Yorkies could get that big. But big or small he's a sweetie (but if he gets to 15 or 20 pounds I'll have trouble lifting him.) He gets a lot of exercise and doesn't eat too much. I don't think he's fat; if he was I'm sure the vet would have said something about that. |
Lily was at the vet today and is a whopping 4.8lbs at 3months so i think a certain teapot :D she is not due back to the vet until she is 6months although i think i shall take her at 4 and 5 months to get weighed and wormed rather than doing it myself :D yvonne xx |
My Romeo has definitely reached teapot status. He is 6 and half months old and he was 11.2 lbs about 2 weeks ago. I love my big boy! |

Wow my little girl has joined the ranks of the teapot club she is 9 months at 8.2 lbs. Had her little vet visit for her ear infection last week and she got weighed. I couldn't believe it! :D I guess I just got used to carrying my teapot around I hadn't noticed how much she weighed. :p |
