Toby is in Jail Toby is in jail today  This morning while i was putting my hair in a clip, he PEED ON THE BED, right in front of me!!!, and WHY??? because he is to much of a prissy puss to WALK OUTSIDE and go potty, he would rather not get HIS feet wet   :thumbdown He has been confined to his crate all day with bathroom breaks (yes.... we locked him out for a few minuits each time so he can go potty and then right back in his crate)... after this regime i do not think he will do this EVER again.... He got YELLED at, he knew he did bad because he started to slink away when he heard the words "NO BAD DOG".... So, no more sleeping on mommy adn daddys bed, he is in solitary! |
Aww Toby, you were a naughty boy today. That is why you are in solitaire. Oh Orinskye, I guess it was the day cause Gucci peed on my bed this morning also. She was spayed 6 days ago and I guess it was my fault for not taking her down.I was so mad, and she is sleeping on her bed tonite. She has never peed on the bed before, I guess it was a full moon today. :( |
I feel for you....We had a similiar problem the past few days with Mr. Ted. It's been raining here....granted it hardly ever rains in Phoenix but good God he acts like he is going to melt! This is a dog that has his own kiddie pool, swims in the big pool and runs through the auto sprinklers like he is a mad man so I am not getting it? Unedible Tootsi treats just aren't going to cut it so we are on lock down also... |
Please remember that Yorkies are very sensitive. If you yell at them, they will take it to heart. Just a firm no, but don't keep up being mad, it's too much for them, and then something worse might happen. They learn pretty quick. And if they get upset, they get confused and will go anywhere also. It's like a case of nerves. Just forgive and forget, and go back to your regular routine. BTW, vinegar takes the urine smell away. |

I agree on the post I quoted....Cheri took FOREVER to train...the best thing was taking her outside often and throwing her a parade when she actually peed.... he'll get it - he was just testing you but I know the frustration - it's really bad when they actually pee in the bed....I would keep the bedroom off limits for a while - and keep trying to encourage your normal training....poor baby - let that boy out of Jail !! |
Skippy's been sleeping in his crate for the last few nights too. He peed on my bed, and I put my foot on it. I wanted to shoot him. Maybe there's a fool moon coming. |

Toby!! I can't believe you did that to mommy's bed!! Pippa once peed on the couch (after being potty trained for quite some time). I didn't see her do it. That morning when I was getting ready for work in the bathroom she stood at the doorway and kept barking at me( she rarely barks for ANYTHING). I had no idea what she was barking about until I sat down on the couch....and got up with a wet seat...LOL I can laugh now! She was telling me she had a bit of an accident I guess. |
OMG! That is the one thing I don't understand. Roxie loves the water hose, attacks the sprinkler system, and dances in the rain. But let the grass be wet  and she will gets this look of disgust on her face and will look for anywhere else to go but there. If she is really desperate, she will tip toe thru the grass while looking for the perfect spot but boy if looks could kill, I wouldn't be here! |

LOL!!!!! :eyetearss Princess wants to pitch in too!!! You are all so good on computers, Can anyone make a get out of jail free card????? :D :D :D :D :D :D |
lol....... your posts crack me up, im still lost on what in the world he was thinking (duh, i guess he wasnt) he has been completely potty trained since he was months old so this is just one of those wierd things i guess... i dunno, there was an earthquake yesterday i guess  anyways, he is out of jail for now, but he is being watched like a hawk and his bed privledges are revoked for now we will see if he gets them back (and hwo long it will take) |
you all had an EARTHQUAKE ? That would make ME pee in my bed ! :D lol - in that case...He gets BUSTED OUT of Jail AND kissed - I think animals sense things way way more than we do and he was probably really scared and nervous ...did you really have an earthquake ? |

Wow, I guess he felt the earthquake. Im glad that his out of jail, I know he didnt mean it. I gave up on Gucci's punishment, guess where she is now. yes you guess it, she is sleeping on my bed. But if I see her sniffing down she goes. So many pups had accidents on the bed this week that Im wondering if there is something going on that we humans cant sense. Dont get me wrong, Im not happy that she peed on my bed, i cleaned it with soap, vinegar and Nature's Miracle. Im jut wondering if is related to her being spayed last week, . She was doing so well on her potty training. I guess I need to retrain her. |

Bender had a time when he had accidents in the bed a lot. We didn't know what was wrong but it turns out our mattress (that was left over from prior tenants) was pretty nasty on the opposite side. I think he was smelling it and peeing. He never peed on us, just on the bottom part of the bed. We tried to ban him from bed, but he looked so sad and lonesome down there...so we picked up our cuddly little bear of a puppy and snuggled him. We just changed sheets every night for about a week before we realized it was probably the mattress and got a new one. Now he's doing A'OK  Bender took awhile to potty train, and we lived in a 1 room apartment until just recently...talk about going to the dogs for awhile ;) But we never yell in our house, so even though he probably doesn't understand us, we actually sit him on our lap and talk about the situation with him calmly whenever he messes up. He gets a "Bender, no." shock warning, but then it's all calm talks and eventual cuddles. We're such softies. :animal36 |
