Does anyone else's yorkie LOVE kids? Bailey goes nuts when he see little kids, he acts like he is seeing another dog. I will be caring for a little 10 month old baby 20hrs a week starting on Monday, the mom brought the baby over to my place a few days ago and Bailey went nuts, doing zoomies all over the place! He was bouncing around the little girl..and this baby is crawling all over the place big time, I'm scared to death. I would be happier if Bailey were afraid of her, then he would at least stay out of her reach! I'm not going to be able to take my eyes off either of them for a second. :rolleyes: |
All my doggies love kids, especially my 6 yr. old granddaughter, but also any kids they see out shopping or at the vets. The doggies get all excited and wiggly and when kids are in my home the dogs only hang out with them and ignore me. |
Olive love love LOVES kids! I think she thinks of them as other puppies to play with, lol! |
April loves kids! More so than adults! :) |
My two both love kids. I have a 6 year old granddaughter too and the absolutely go bonkers over her. When she is here they have to be right with her. It is so cute because she says they love her more than they love me. |
Lucky loves little people....(kiddies) But actually doesn't play with them until he gets used to them!! Sometimes it may take half an hour~ |

Joey LOVES kiddos too! Tank is alright with them - he actually does better with kids than adults. He is extremely shy, and even with the progress he's made, it's difficult to get him to socialize. |
I have to say... I was sooo proud of Jackson last night. I went to my little 6 year old cousin's little league baseball game and I always bring Jackson. There were a ton of younger kids (2-4) wandering around as their big brothers played ball. Jackson did GREAT with all of them. He willingly went up to a few of the kids, and allowed these little kids to be petting him, I asked the kids to give him some treats too and he lovingly took them from the kids! Yay! I had posted in the other 'kid' thread that he's always been shy around kids. Never aggressive, barky, or snappy or anything. He's 1.5 years old and the only kids he's ever really LOVED are my halfbrother (6 yrs) and halfsister (2 1/2). He will let the 2 1/2 year old do anything to him and he could care less, etc. But I just wanted to say how proud I was, that he was so friendly last night! Even to adults. He went up to a few adult women and let them pet him willingly. Wow, I was totally surprised. I knew he'd been getting better with his shyness -- but last night was definitely a breakthrough. |
All 5 of babies loves kids somtimes to the point where I have to put them out they wont leave them alone |
Well, Gizmo HATES kids! Whenever a little kid wants to pet Gizmo he will start to growl and bark at them. He also doesn't like men, unless its DH or my brother! |
Boo Boo LOVES kids. He's played with my 4 year old nephew since he was a puppy. It was so cute too, because they are both so energetic. Boo would chase Austin to one end of the house and then Austin would chase Boo back to the other end. Now every time we go to the park and there are kids playing he runs right up to them with his little tail fluttering like crazy!!!! I am so happy he loves kids as I am planning to have one within the next couple years. I think he will make an excellent big brother! |
