nipping Hi! My yorkie nips (nibbles) on blankets, pillows, etc... I don't think this has anything to do with teething...does anyone have any ideas? |
Some dogs just chew out of boredom. You can spray bitter apple to the areas you dont want him to chew at and get him chew toys to chew instead. When you seeing him chewing or biting say No biting and give him the chew toys. Welcome to YT. Can't wait to see pics of your little one. |
Hello and Welcome. cant wait to see pictures of your fur babie. |
Hi! Welcome to YT! How old is your baby? Because it could have something to do with teething. They have to chew, and if they don't have a chew toy, they will chew on anything. Poncho chewed on pillows, he had lots of toys, but really liked pillows. :) A little time & training, it will stop. ( I hope ) :D |
It could be related to teething, but some dogs just really, really enjoy chewing. I have a 3 year old who loves nothing better than a good daily chew (and I'm not talking about smokeless tabacco!) :p From the look on his face when he is "lost in thought, chewing away" I think he just finds it very pleasurable! Maybe you could get your baby a plush toy that she/he can enjoy chewing on instead of your blankets and pillows.. BTW: Welcome! Can't wait to see some pictures! |
lexie is 10 mos...i will have pictures up soon! see, i don't think the problem is chewing because she has a million chew toys. what she's doing is more like nibbling (not biting/teething). She nibbles furiously like she is nervous or something. |
