Been thru the car wash?
 
Have any of you taken your yorkies thru the car wash... with them inside the car of course? :) I was wondering what their reactions were. Have thought about doing it, but didn't want to terrorize her.

Oh, yeah! I start them right off as puppies just for that reason. I don't want to terrorize them and I'm a regular at the car wash.:D She doesn't think anything about it. She really did pay a lot of attention the first time or two or three, of course. But it didn't upset her.

I have. Mine are always very curious about it, watching and doing the whole head tilt thing. At first, I used to turn up my radio but now they don't seem to mind it.

No but I need to because my car is filthy with all of the pollen and bad weather we've been having. Thanks for giving me an idea for our "out and about" thing to do together this coming Saturday morning :D

I try one time when Phoebe (my first yorkie) was a pup she freak out, so since them, I will stay outside while my hubby take the cars to the car wash, yeah they are the boss lol:D:rolleyes:;)

Yeah....It was my Dh's idea!! Lucky seemed to behave like he was very alert and doing the ' Don't worry guys....I have everything under control!!' act!! But overall, he liked it! lol

Am I correct to assume this is an automatic/drive in type car wash? I have done it several times. The first time the girls were really curious, a bit upset by the noise. I treated it like fun time, like with thunderstorms or fireworks and they have done just fine each time they have gone. Just make fun of it, take a toy and play with your Yorkie the first time or two as you are going through the car wash.

Yup - we do the car wash too. Started it when Bailey was a pup.

yes its a weekly ritual with daddy that they totally look forward to.
They've never been terrorized over it.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. That's what I do with storms, fireworks, etc. It has worked real well so far. I almost went through the car wash yesterday, when it hit me that I hadn't tried that yet w/Roxy. Decided to wait & take her too. I was just curious as to what reactions others have had.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'll be sure and take her.
