My baby got hurt today Livie had her first accident today. So far..until today she hasn't fallen, gotten hurt or anything! So I was so scared when it happened. We were leaving for a yorkie meetup and I let her and Maggie run in my building hallway like always to follow me to the elevator. Before the elevator came I was getting both their leashes and going to pick them both up. But before I could get Livie the elevator door swung open and got poor Livie's paw stuck underneath the door. She was crying in pain. To make it worse she was stuck, but I pulled her paw out and pushed the door. I was so scared she was going to break her paw or something. She cried as I held her all the way back to my apt. She even had peed on herself from how scared she was or from the shock. So I massaged her paw and gave her nutrical and she stopped crying. I checked everything to make sure nothing was messed up and luckily she is fine! She was limping at first but now she is walking normally. My poor baby!! :( I think my whole building heard her. Good thing she is okay now and had a fun day playing with other Yorkies. |

Oh how awful for her....poor little baby! I'm so glad she is ok now and had a good day. So glad....this had a happy ending, makes me smile! I scares me if I start to think of just how quick something can happen. My entire family tells me I'm to overprotective and I worry way to much about Zhoie. But I say, kiss my tushie....it's my job!!!! |
Yes I def, lucked out! Usually I panic when something like that happens too but today I stayed calm for her. She is totally herself now:) |
I've Loved watching Livie & Maggie since you brought them both home. I was so afraid & almost in tears reading, but sooooo glad everything turned out ok. HUGS to both adorable Livie & adorable Maggie!! |

Yes I was so scared..its like it happened to me, you have no idea! lol But my baby is a brave one..sometimes I can't believe how brave they are |
So glad your baby is okay. I went through a scare of my own with Brandi just about a week ago. She started choking and while I did panic in the beginning I quickly calmed down enough to stick my finger down her throat to get the piece of food that was stuck. It was the scariest thing in my life. After that episode, I quickly looked on YorkieTalk for first aid for my little one and printed out just to have in case of an emergency. I also put the 24 hour emergency vet in my cell phone and home phone just to be on the safe side. I also know how to get to the emergency vet as well. I have never been there before and didn't know where it was even though I was familiar with the neighborhood it was in. One day I just happened to be in the neighborhood and did a drive by. If anything happens to her, I know how to get there now. |
