Dog Tags - Help Me Pick!! I'm getting ready to order dog tags for Chloe and I'm having a really hard time deciding what information to put!! So here I go again to the experts! The details: The tag I've picked will have her name on the front of it and I get three lines on the back. The first line can have 10 characters (including spaces), the second line can have 13 and the third line can have 11. Of course, I'm putting one of our cell phone numbers and I'm considering putting both his and mine. I don't want to put our address because we tend to move frequently (I've been married four years and haven't spent more than one Christmas in any given place!) So that would mean having to buy a new tag each time we moved. The question: What should my third line be? I've considered "Needs Meds" (she doesn't really need them...) or "Reward" or "Call us!". I could also only put one phone number down if there's a better piece of information I should put in its place. Thanks so much for your advice!! -C |
I put my home phone, my cell phone and "reward". |
E-mail i have four lines pet name phone number my name alot of people dont have phones or have very restricted min and wont use them but almost everyone will send a e-mail |
The dog's name, my address and home telephone are on Molly's tag. But then again, we aren't planning on moving anytime soon and have already lived here 13 years. In your case, the dog's name, cell number and e-mail as another suggested would be my suggestion for you. I'd never thought of using e-mail on the dog's id tag before, but that's a very good idea as most people have both access to and use computers. :) |
I suggest you put "REWARD". Although "Needs Meds" might prompt some people to call you, a lot of people just think it is not necessary to medicate animals. REWARD means money, and money talks. |
I just have Fiona my cell number thats it! |
one side has their names. The other side has both of our cell phone #'s and their vets phone #. I do like the idea of needing meds...I would think that some one might think twice about stealing a dog with special needs. (??) |
Thanks so much for the responses!! I think I'm going to go with Reward and both our cell numbers. I think the email would be a good idea but if I put it, it would take up two lines in order to fit it. It's so hard to decide what info might be most important and useful when you have limited space! -C |
Unless the dog really is sick I wouldn't put Needs Meds because so many people started doing that in the past and now most don't pay attention to it. Like the boy that cried wolf! However, the word reward does get attention. |
I would put two numbers on the tag. My roommates dog is an escape artist, so he has 3 numbers on the back. Plus most of the time he is hard to reach because of his job. As for the email, you could sign up for a msn email that is short and forward it to your main account. IE. 45jsa@msn.com :) |
i really wish i would've done this before i bought my tags... a lot of useful info.! |
Roxie's has her name on the front, my phone number and her microchip # on the back. |
