Hair Question...again.. Ok, as you all know I asked a question the other day about bows, etc. Here is another question for me to throw out there. I am very new to Yorkies, really dont know alot about them other than what Roxie has taught me..lol..and what I have learned here. She has straight fine, oily type silky hair..lol...Anyways , her hair on her head , seems thin, not balding, nothing missing , just thin. Is this normal for yorkies? Her hair on her body seems thick enough, but the hair on her head isnt? Thanks. |
I'm not really sure but I can share my experience; both my girls had very thin hair on the tops of their heads until they were about 14 months old. |
Ok, thanks I was just wondering. She turned 2 in January, I mean its not "stick" thin, but just not as thick as her body hair. Thanks again for your reply. |
1 Attachment(s) My Gracie Ruth's hair is 'normal' on her body, but does seem a little thin on top. Her brother has enough gorgeous thick silky hair for 50 Yorkiesl. Doesn't that always seem to be the way. The boys get all the gorgeous hair and long eyelashes. Yorkies are like people, each is unique and individual, even full blooded brothers and sisters. Yogi & Gracie Ruth Attachment 314453 Notice his top knot is standing upright...G's is flopped over. There just isn't enough hair to even keep the scrunchie upright on her head. Poor baby. :p |
Thanks, that was a good comparison. I can actually see the difference. Thanks again. |

Joey has thin, fine hair all over his body, and I cannot get it to grow long at all. He's almost 2. Tank has thick hair that does get long, but it's more cottony (is that a word?)...I think it's kinda like human hair - you get all sorts of textures, thickness, etc... |
Lula looked like she was balding for a while. Now that she is getting a little older her hair is starting to get a bit more thick all over. It might just be puppy hair. How old is your little girl? |
