Bless you. Let us know what the vet says. I'm betting you are going to have the best little love bug when all is said and done!:) |
Thanks for taking this little one in. I too have a similar experience but not that bad. I have had Roxie for a week, and she came from a breeders home, she had to be spayed because she couldnt have her puppies naturally. They told me she was utd on shots, was on frontline, etc. None of it was true, she was only utd on rabies, which i guess is better than nothing. But she was not fully housetrained, although she did get love from them because she is very affectionate, I cannot be out of her sight for even a minute. But anyways, I have rambled on and on, but thanks for taking this little one in and god bless you and your family. |
"I posted a comment about her ears in another thread but they are flopping and I'm guessing because the people before didn't cut the tips properly, because they appear like they are trying to stand. Groomer left them long, so should I bother clipping the ends or let them stay floopy." after reading that comment, i think it was reasonable to assume CLIPPING the ears meant actually cutting/cropping them. it's not so outlandish for me to assume that from the wording. so, instead of being a smart aleck, why not just say, "she wasn't referring to clipping the ears as in cropping, but just trimming the hair." if i'm wrong then i will admit it! if trimming the hair is what the OP meant (which i think that is what she meant), then i was wrong! sue me - or just laugh and act like a 5 year old instead of educating me. |

This is just a thought and probably not the case because she is only 2 yrs. old but is it possible that she could have any eye sight problems? My Rat Terrier is starting to go blind from old age and always flinches when we move our hands quickly or near her. Like I said, that's probably not the case but I just thought I'd throw that out there :) |

The OP has done a wonderful thing by taking in a rescue and i hope they have many happy years together. |
I have a couple of Yorkies that do NOT like to have their heads petted and will flinch if you try. One I know was abused, but Chipper has had the good life. I assume he doesn't like my had coming towards him because he thinks I'm going to, once again, clean his beard. He hates it but when it is long it gets messy. I also have made a practice of always going towards my doggies with the palm of my hand turned up. Always tell guests the same thing. It does help. Blessings for giving this little one a home. Just remember, it may take a long time for her to come around. I have one that took 8 yrs. for her to finally go to my dh to be picked up. ~Joanne~ |
