Anyone know where to get an inexpensive set of trimming scissors I have been looking around for scissors to trim Bella and was wondering if someone here may know of a great source for a great price. |
Do you have a beauty supply store in your area? They have many difference prices on scissors. I, stupidly thought I was doing the right thing and purchased an expensive pair only to find out after the fact that an inexpesive pair would do the job just as good plus when they got dull throw them away and buy another pair. Never thought of that. |
rounded tips What ever kind you get, be sure they have the rounded tips so you won't accidentally stab your pup when they suddenly wiggle around. I think good scissors are cheaper in the long run. |
Both great ideas! Thanks |

scissors sharpened when they got dull, hence the insight about buying cheaper ones. She used the cheap ones and they last forever she said. When and if they dull she just throws them away and get's another pair. If their good enough for her to use on my hair they would have been good enough to use on Buddy. Don't ever use them on anything other than hair. Mine do not have the rounded edges also something I never thought about. |
I ordered mine from Pet Edge. They were cheaper than Sally's beauty supply plus I was able to get some with out the pointy ends. I also got thinning scissors at the same time to thin the hair around the eyes. |
ARCHIE is right............never cut anything with hair scissors except hair. Even cutting regular paper (you coupon clippers) will dull scissors really fast! I had cheap ones for years. I cut my husbands hair, my dogs hair and any foster that happens my way, so I finally decided to invest in a really good pair and boy what a difference. They are also rounded at the tip. I do have to be extra careful not to cut my own finger. they are really sharp, and such a blessing to use. |
