i need to know how can i let coby wear his dog id, tags if he cant
put on a collar?

He can wear a collar if you're watching him and have him out and about. Some people that use collars all the time use "breakaway" collars so if they get caught on something, the collar will just come off. I only use a collar if we're leaving the house, and she wears her harness with it.

Yorkies can wear collars to hold tags, you just shouldnt walk them on one.

But you can also attach tags to their harness. :)

We attach our tags to our harnesses. Though we may have to resort to a breakaway collar for Gwenni as she still hasn't grown out of chewing through her halters.

Kaji wears a collar 24/7 for the sole purpose of holding tags. When we go out for walks, he wears a harness which is where I attach his leash. He's walked out of our home before completely naked, in the middle of the night. He had no ID on him and I was petrified that I wouldn't see him again. Luckily I found him in the condo complex 45 mins later. Never again will he be without tags.

Well Coby trys to bite his tags and break away collar? It get stuck in his teeth because he's biting it can someone point out a harness I can attach the tags too? I went to petco yesterday,I notice they really didn't have a big selection for anything including clothes,it seem they was low in stock everything,I went to walmart samething

Pixie only wears a harness. She wears it 24/7 and her tags are hanging on it.

I just ordered a tag for Lula at sassypup.
you can always use a tiny key ring to attach the tag to where you attach the leash. Some tags even slide on the harness/collar and lay flat.

Lula dosnt wear a harness when in the house. I had to buy her a collar last night for her dog training. She is wearing it right now.
I am terrified that she will run out the door someday "naked". I am also terrified that if she did get loose and someone picked her up without tags they wouldnt think of having her chip scanned or think of returning her. So... I got her a "medical tag" that says she needs medication and to call ASAP. Its a small white lie but it gives me peice of mind ;)

I keep Cerise's tags on my key ring since I always carry my keys with me and she is also microchipped. She will never be outside ANYWHERE without me, so I don't worry about her wearing tags.

We do the same thing. Collar with tags 24/7.
Harness when on leash...but the collar stays on..even when the harness is on.

I have Fiona's rabies tag and name tag on her harness that she ONLY wears for walks....good luck....

I honestly thought the same thing. Kaji would never be anywhere without me, so he doesn't need to wear a collar with tags 24/7. He never left my side so I never thought it would be an issue. That day that he got out, I had just given him a bath, it was around 11:30 pm and a new roommate was still moving her stuff in. I went in to the bathroom to clean up leaving Kaji in my room. I went back in my room looking for him, he was gone. My roommate and I looked everywhere, and Kaji just wasn't there. Turns out little bugger wanted to go out potty, he saw the front door open and walked right out the condo. We found him almost an hour later walking back to our condo. He took the exact same route we always take when walking within the complex. I'm glad he knew his way home, and I thank God a coyote didn't get him (we have many coyotes taking small family pets). That scared me to where I made sure he always had id on him. As soon as I finish drying him, on goes the collar. If you don't like the collar, have a good harness on her and attach tags to that.

I do however carry his microchip tag on my key ring. I joke that my puppy lojack sits next to my car lojack. Both my "babies" are safe. :D

I think a well fitting collar your baby can't get to. A tag that hangs however, I understand how they can grab that and start biting. If you still don't like the collar idea, a step in harness is definitely the way to go. Petsmart has them, and Petco does too. Sometimes the selection varies by store. If you can't find them there, do a search here, many YT vendors sell them. You won't be able to use that tag I posted on a step in harness, there is no where you can slide it on, but a regular tag will be now hanging off his back which would be harder to get to.
