bad breath Hi all, I have a 1 year old female, we have had her since she was 10 week's old.. The problem I have had is her bad breath!!! The vet thought it was her loose baby teeth catching food particle's. O f course she has lost her baby teeth ,but still has bad breath!! I have tried brushing them haha, she doesn't want any part of that. She is eating good food etc. Any idea's would sure be appreciated!!! Thank's, Sue |
Her teeth need to be brushed regardless of whether or not she likes it... if tartar is able to accumulate on her teeth her breath will smell... the same as if you didnt brush your teeth ever, :p |
I heard about a product (yourpetsbreath.com) that I may look further into. It's not that cheap but may save a cleaning at the vet's office. I really don't ever want to put Sadie under again unless it's an emergercy. I think its all natural, oderless & tastless and it helps with the plaque and bad breath. Its also suposed to whiten their teeth. (which I really don't care about) She would fight so bad when I would try to brush, that I thought I would hurt her. For awhile I would put the paste on her tooth brush and she would chew on it, which was fine w/me. One day she decided she wanted no parts of that either. Whats a mom to do? |
What food are you feeding her? Also, are you positive that all of her puppy teeth have fallen out? Was she spayed and while under was the vet able to really look around inside her mouth? |
