Absolutely Positively NO!! I remember when i first got Pasquale some lady ran up to us and picked Pasquale up without permission (i think i even posted something about this on YT). Anyways, Pasquale is so squirmy...I caught him before he hit the ground..i was SO furious! Now i just tell everyone "oh no no...you dont want to hold him...he pee's on people cause he gets so excited". You should see how fast people back away :D |

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo NOT OK! |
Definitely not ok.. in fact, im starting to lose my patience with people picking Samy up .... especially kids.. there are so many where I live and they all think it is ok to pick him up and one time this kid started carrying Samy away from me and did not put him down until i repeated myself several times to do so.. soooo annoying... soon enough i will become snappy :) |

I'm a "no it's no ok" person too. Once at the doggy park, there is this click that would always go there and sit together in the back. I went and sat in front watching Kaji run around and have fun. One of the ladies from that group decided he was to cute not to pick up. She chased him, he was scared. She cornered him and finally picked him up. He was squirming and scratching to get away. He was so scared his eyes were bulging from his head. I had never seen him do that before. I quickly walked over and said something like, "excuse me, I don't think he wants to be held right now," to which I got a dirty look and a "and how would you know." She didn't put him down and he was outright panicking!!! She finally put him down, Kaji ran to me to be picked up and he hid his face in my arms. He wouldn't settle down so I had to take him home. She ruined the doggy park for him that day. IT STILL MAKES ME MAD!!!! |

I worry when people pick up Bailey. I am afraid they will squeeze her too tight now watch her neck and cause a CT. |
I would absolutely not let any one pick up one of my babies. I like the they pee when they get excited response too...:) |
It is absolutely not okay for anyone to handle, lift, or touch my dogs without approval. I don't usually do dog parks for that very reason. I'd rather walk the dogs on our main street in town. |
you guys are serious mama bears! :D i hope no one mess around with your pups or they will seriously get their butts kicked! :p i feel like i don't protect my dogs enough. i just feel like people just like dogs and if i tell them not to pick up my dogs, then i have to keep telling everyone not to pick them up, because i can't just tell one person that he/she cannot pick him up without telling the others. it seems like it would be stressful also to have to do that every time i go to the dog park. i think people do that now because he is still a puppy. i think they will get over it once he is bigger. i just wish they ask me for permission first. but then it's hard to tell little kids they can't pick up when adults can. |

well, i offered for you to hold davinci, because you didn't even ask to hold him, i was thinking "what is wrong with her? how can she see something so cute and not want to hold him?" :p |

but on the other hand, i do want him to get over being scared when people pick him up. so that's kind of why i wasn't too adamant about stopping people when they pick him up. |
