OMG I am just seeing this. I was horrified reading the post....so relieved when I got through it all and saw that you got all three back.

I am SO glad they are all safe and sound with you, Jodi!

On a side note, for those of you that plan on getting tags for your dogs, I put "needs daily meds" on their tags even though they don't need daily meds. That way, if someone ever finds them and even thinks about keeping them, maybe they will see that message and figure it would be too expensive to keep them if they need daily medicine and make that call to the rightful owner. They are all on my lap right now sleeping away like they never gave me a flippin heart attack 17 hours ago :rolleyes:

I am scared to death that mine will get out, and someone will try to keep him :eek:

I am definitely pro-collars and tags. I could not imagine Couver getting out without any identification. He is microchipped, but some people will not take the time to take them to a vet to be scanned... so it's not worth it to me!

I'm glad they all had tags :)

Oh my goodness...my heart was racing as I read your story. I'm SO glad they are safe and back with you. I have a tag on my Muffin, but I lost Boomer's when I gave him a new collar. They are both chipped, but I for sure am going to get him a new tag asap.

OMGosh...what a terrible ordeal for you, but I'm so glad it was a happy ending! It's bad enough to lose track of one, but losing all dogs at once is unimaginable! So glad your babies are right where they belong! I'm just guessing here, but I bet when you finally got your heart to stop racing and able to calm down, I bet you felt physically and emotionally drained! Bless your heart!

mine says 'need meds daily' also. the front of the tags are red with a white cross. they look like medic alert tags. I do it for the same reasons.

I still can't imagine the terror you must have gone through gathering up all your furkids. What a horrible experience and I'm still amazed at the miracle of how quickly you were able to get them all back!

I was absolutely scared when I started to read through your post. I am so happy and relieved that your babies are home with you! Its amazing what a great neighborhood you live in! Thank goodness for your tags and for great people! Wow!

What a nightmare!! I am soo happy that you got them all back. Gates are scary, it just takes a second for those little guys to dissapear. Not like looking for a Rottie.

Wow, I'm just seeing this too. Amazing! I've been holding off putting a collar on Jillie because she's so tiny and I worry about her catching it on something, but this sure makes me think twice. I'm so glad you had a happy ending.

Phew!! What a relief!! I must get Diji a tag asap! He has a little collar but no tag yet. I was waiting for him to get a little bit bigger.

The other day when I was out, I left Diji with my mom and brother.Diji fell asleep on my brothers black bean bag and his black coat blended in so well that no one saw him on it. My mom searched the whole house over and thought he was missing. They were both incredibly anxious and were flipping coins to decide who would tell me Diji was gone... To their relief (and mine) Diji woke up and wandered still sleepy into the lounge where they were sitting.

I don't even want to imagine my life without Diji. I love him toooooo much!

That is such a great idea... I always worry because, heaven forbid Diji goes missing, he is so precious and cute people will just want to keep him. That's why I've been struggling to decide whether to get him chipped or not. Because the majority of people won't take him to be scanned they'll just keep him. Thanks for the idea I'm definitely including those three words on his tag. :aimeeyork
