What to do?? My baby Emma is now 7 months old and her baby teeth is pushing her adult teeth out of place. Basically, her bottom fang teeth are pointing out...:confused:The vet said that he can't extract it because she's not done teething. Please advise me on what to do. |
You could just wait until Emma is done teething. Or you could go to another vet to get a second opinion. |
Do they feel loose, or are they firmly anchored in? My pup didn't have any problems with losing her baby teeth, except for the canines. The bottom canines did what you described, but they did loosen up and come out on their own. The top two are hanging in there, and don't seem to be loosening up at all. The adult teeth came in right in front of the baby teeth, and there is plenty of room for both of them, so I am doubting that they are going to come out naturally. She's getting spayed week after next (she'll be 7 months old), and I will have them pulled during the spay (unless they seem to be getting noticeably loose). |

This is one big reason my vet told me to wait to get Rocco neutered. This apparently is common in the breed, so baby teeth have to be pulled (under anesthesia). So if he develops this problem in a few months, the vet will neuter and pull his baby teeth at the same time without having to sedate twice. Are you planning on having Emma spayed? |

Rio had double fangs too and we used to call her our little "monster!" Her baby fangs were preventing the permanent canines from getting to the correct spot. Her vet said it was important that the baby teeth come out so her bite would be correct and to prevent dental/gum issues as an adult. We had her spayed at 8 months old (she was only 2.8 lbs and we would never put her life in danger by taking any chance of her getting pregnant) and she had her four canines pulled at the same time. Her permanent canines eventually migrated out to the correct place but her vet told us to encourage her to bite her little tennis balls to help push the teeth out to their proper place. |
yorkie7181  Hi I'am trying to use this site & cant figure out how to do this, but I have a question, my yorkie ate a purple flower (not the flower but a piece) itlooks like a daisy how do I find out what flowers are deadly to our little babies?? |
My little girl is 3&1/2 years old I cannot brush her teeth, when she gets groomed the groomer does it, but it is only once a month. I hate to put her under to have her teeth scaled but I dont know what else to do, she was already fixed 2 years ago, & that was traumatic for me to put her under can anyone advise me what I should do?? |

If your furbaby is 7 months old & is only 3 #'s, I don't think she'll reach 5#'s. Plus, 5#'s is still too small to breed. My friend just adopted a 5 yr old that's 5#'s & she had 2 c-sects & the breeder gave her up... It also really depends on their body structure. Princess is 5#'s, but her measurements are tiny. Her length is 8" (barely) & 12" chest...I can't imagine where she can store those puppies.:D |

I don't know much about poisonous flowers, but there are poisonous plants & toxic seeds. You might want to read this to learn how to start your own thread;): http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...orkietalk.html |
