I killed a snake!
 
Yes, I did. He was in Kacee's yard. Luckily she never saw him, because she was distracted watching our neighbor walking up the road. He had crawled along the edge of our house and up onto the outside corner of the patio. I had a hoe and used the handle end to get him out away from the edge of the house and he started crawling away out into the yard really fast and that's where I got him! Ugh! Things like that scare me to death. I was always so scared of Muffin meeting up with a snake. I'm so glad Kacee didn't even see him before we put her in the house. They will go right up to anything. My heart is beating a mile a minute! :eek:

Oh wow, Im gla dthat Kacee never saw it and that you got it. I hate snakes also. Scary.

I don't know if there are a lot. I know there are rattlesnakes and a few others. I don't think this was a poisonous snake, but that doesn't matter to me when it comes to my babies. I really did notice he had a BIG mouth, though. :eek: I think this was just a black snake. I'm not really sure. He was black with yellow stripes down his back and there was a design down both sides of his body.

Sounds like a corn snake but since you also have rattlers it is not easy to take a good enough look to decide if it is an okay snake or a really bad-butt poisonous one..

We have a lot of snakes here... (Copper heads) Very dangerous one's, but even the nice one's I don't care for too much. A dead snake is a good snake!!

Luckily Schatzie has never encounterd one, knock on wood. And thank goodness that Kacee didn't take notice to this snake too!

I LOVE snakes, but when it comes to the furbabies, they are my worst enemy! good for you! :thumbup: it would be AWFUL if Kacee had gotten a hold of it. :(

Oh, I know! :( He was a yard long or longer! He was a good inch around!
