OK..im on puppyfind cause im wanting a buddy for Mason...They have this beautiful little girl on there...she weighs 1 pound andis 12 weeks. they said shell get to 4 lbs. :confused: Is that right? will she be that big? im wanting around a 3 pound or biiger when older so.....but the thing that baffles me is shes 380.00...that INCLUDES shipping from Limbe IA. Does that sound ok you think to check into??????

Sounds like a scam to me. Recently, there was another similiar post about the same thing and it turned out to be a scam.

no N0 NOOOOOOO !!!! That is a SCAM for SURE!!!! Take that person username, such as "plat432" or whatever it is, and do a Google search on it. Also, those places such as Petfind want to know when you find a scam and they will put an end to that user. Please do the Google thing or send me the name the person is using and I'll see what I can find out for you.

Just for fun, tell him you'd like to see a picture of the mother. You will probably be emailed a gorgeous, show perfect dog. Then.....ask to see a picture of the pup and the mother together.....it WON'T happen. There will be all kinds of reasons, but it WON'T happen.

First, if that baby weighs 1lb at 12 weeks the formula most used to project her adult weight would result in a 3 pound adult. AND, is she considering shipping her? That would be enough to kill her if it is a long distance. Many airlines will not ship a live animal if the temp in any of the areas are above 85 and below 45.. That would mean a trip via land carrier.
Personally, I would not touch this ad with a well, anything..I am gonna go check out the ad. I have a friend who bought a male from that area and she still cannot get papers on him and there are other problems..

hmmmmmmmmmmmm,
I don't know what to tell you,
if it was me, I'd look the other way.
The shipping would be the same price they are
asking...... Something's not right.
I would do some more research.
Why are you on puppyfinder?
There must be a baby out by you,
I would want to see the place, meet the Breeder
and most of all & hold my new little one before I did anything.

Well, that was a bust..I refuse to pay money to get info for anything that I am considering buying..That includes a lot more things than these Puppyfind ads. Sorry, but I still think it is a scam..

:mad: THERE ALL SCAMS..im talking with this one guy now on messenger that has a 1 pound pup for sale for 500.00 he says he was in chicago BUT ISNT...hes in brazil...he breeds momma and das 2# each...... :mad: :mad: How ppl can be soo untrustworthy!!! :( :( :mad:

My My I knew that sounded like too goo of a price. I think your gonna have trouble finding a small yorkie for those low prices. Ususally breeders have more time vested in the smaller ones and price them accordingly.

:mad: Thats not even the pup i posted about..this is on another one..... :mad: Im sooo mad right now i could scream and punch the guy through my computer screen. Hes talking to me now but as soon as i said can i have a pic of mom and pup..he quit replying!!!!That and i found another ad that i was interested in but saw the same picture used for 2 different ads in Iowa...different cities..way apart from one another....well i have done lost faith in all the online breeders....they def wont get my business!!!! :mad

I don't think a reputable breeder would even ship a puppy that small. Run the other way. I'm curious, when people say it is a scam, do they mean it is a puppymill? Or, are people saying that it is a person who is selling a sick dog and/or one that isn't registered? Just curious.

Its a foreign person in BRAZIL saying hes in CHICAGO to sell me this dog for 500.00 that includes shipping! That is a scam and another scam is that when there are a ton of ads for a particular dog but its in alot of different cities and states......IM SO MAD!!!!im sorry if i seem like im yelling at you! Im not i am just furious!!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

You can find many online breeders that arent a scan. I would look elsewhere then puppyfind. I still think it is the best when you can see where the pup comes from though.

My Mickey weighed 1 lb 4 oz at 12 weeks old and hes 5 lbs now. He dont look 5 lbs but hes really thick.

I Don't believe there is actually a puppy to these scams. Did you notice I said "He" when referring to the scammer? It is almost always a guy (or atleast a guy's name). There will be a picture of a perfect puppy...even a different one if you mention a different sex. Anyone selling a puppy should be able to get a photo (with no problem at all) of the pup and it's mother. Never ask for this first. First ask for a picture of the mother. After you say how pretty she is (because the picture will be PERFECT), THEN ask for a picture of them together. Remember, after you bust them REPORT THEM! It gets very exciting thinking you just found the deal of a lifetime, maybe you could spare someone else from this and/or from actually losing their money.

Thanks for the education and no, I am not offended at all, I'm happy to find out how to expose such abusive behavior. One day when I'm not busy, I'll just start up on web and ask for pictures. I know there are good breeders on the web, I found both my yorkies via the web but I did a lot of research until I was sure of the site and also visited the homes.

I wish I had known and done something about the breeder who scammed me on PuppyFind. I was all set to get my baby boy Maxx but I think I made them nervous when I asked 101 questions after I received "updated" pics, which looked nothing like the original Maxx's pics, prior to his scheduled time to come home because all of a sudden they told me he died during the night. Broke my heart and cried my eyes out for days!! Then I found the breeders on PuppyFind again selling more pups that were a few weeks younger and low and behold there were some of the same pics of MY Maxx posted on their new pup's pages!! Hate to think I left myself be that vulnerable. I can't help but still wonder what really happened to my baby boy :confused:

OHHHHHHHHHHHH Now I feel like a scammer...LOL.. I had to tell this lady I couldn't send a picture(of a rescue) because my camera cord is lost...LOL.. It really is...lol....Truly.. :p

I also told her give me a couple days to go buy a new one and I would put a hold on any other applications that came in for the pup.LOLOLOLOL.. I'm such a DORK :p

Basic rule if it sounds to good to be true it probably is...The price on that dog sounds way too low, shipping a dog that size sounds like an awful idea, and shipping is usually by itself about that much. IF that dog did really exist it is likely that there is something seriously wrong with it health or temperment wise (most likely health), and it would turn into a huge heartbreak and financial burden. I am, because of my own experiences very paranoid of breeders. I would suggest if you are looking for a new baby getting in touch with other YTers in your area and asking them about their breeders. DO NOT BUY A DOG OFF ANY OLD WEBSITE OR IN A PET STORE!
