Ok I'm pathetic There I sad it. I am way to in love with my Chloe. Today I woke up to a very nasty surprise, Weird bugs (Box elders) in my home coming thru my downstairs entry..Tons and tons of them. They were everywhere, then I realized they were in my kitchen too. I immediately called my landlord and they came out to get rid of them. The method they use or spray they use however is not safe for animals to be around. They told me to keep her out of reach from where they sprayed for at least 48hrs. Well since they basically had to spray everywhere, I decided it best to remove her for the next two days. Usually my mom would've taken her, but shes out of town so my best friend of 20yrs is watching her and hour away. Now I know shes a good and responsible person and calls herself chloes auntie and will spoil her rotten. She has her own yorkie, But i cant help and freak out.. I keep calling her and shes getting annoyed. I keep picturing Chloe getting loose, or ingesting something or getting hurt, Anything like that. I have never been apart from her but a couple hours(shopping or going to lunch or dinner or something), I am a stay at home puppy dad. But I think maybe this is a good thing and that i need to do this because im getting to be soooo overly protective and possibly to clingy. Yet i am torn up inside and its only been 3 hrs since I dropped her off. Anyways sorry to ramble just figured if anyone would understand It would be you guys.:( |
I know I have such a hard time leaving mine for even a minute but your right its probably good for both of you. I have had infestations of the box elder bug before too....eek they are creepy in numbers. Be strong and soon life will be back to norm for both of you |
i think its really sweet |
Easier said than done, but your baby will be in your arms soon enough. I hate leaving Twinkie when I go to the store. I am very bad too! She has me wrapped around her little paw!;) |
What you are doing is really hard indeed... I cannot imagine leaving Samy to someone else to watch... but I might have to one day... I just hope it is not in his puppy months!! You are doing well pup-dad!! You can do it :) |
I have a 17 year old daughter. When she is home with Thomas, I am so afraid she will let him out. He sprints for the door everytime it is opened. I call her 10 times a day..'Don't let Thomas out'! My oldest daughter will have my first grandchild in October..:) I am sure I will Really Really annoy her!!:p |
I can sympathize with wanting to be with your little one all the time...i, too, am the same way. Pasquale just relaxes me...we could just sit there, do nothing..and i'm at peace. You should have seen me when my husband surprised me with a getaway weekend for my birthday..instead of being excited and happy..i started crying that i didnt want to leave Pasquale LoL The good thing about this forum is we all understand . :D |
Aww I know it is hard to trust them to anyone else. Can you go visit? |
Awe, that's not pathetic at all, my husband and I both work 8 hour days and hate having to Leave kobe at home. We are so attached to him that he goes home during his lunch break to spend the hour with him and then i do the same about 30 mins later. I hate leaving Kobe at home, so much so that I'm trying to either change my work time or talk my boss into letting me bring him to work with me. |
Sounds perfectly normal to me. I think I would have been packing a bag and moving both of us to a hotel for a couple of days and maybe having someone pupsit while I was at work only. |
If you are pathetic, then most of us here are pathetic right along with you.....:D Hoping your two days goes by very fast!! |
its hard 1 Attachment(s) its so hard, we were away this weekend...at a cabin for a wedding with family and my husband and I decided to go to breakfast I was so terrified of having axel out with my son and daughter watching them I put him in his cage so I could have peace of mind...so trust me we understand! I'm trying to figure out now how to take him on a trout fishing trip. Here is my baby below from yesterday! oh ps. he is 7months a 5 lbs |
I know that feeling. I've had my yorkie girl for less than 4 months and already I hate leaving her. I have been doing a lot of house sitting for my brother and I can't bring my baby because one of their dogs doesn't like little ones. So I whine at anyone who will listen while I'm away. :D and more often than not get crazy looks from my family. I'm trying to work my way up to leave her for 9 days while I go on vacation to Disney World. My friend who has a little boy yorkie is going to puppy sit and is bring her Rocco to her parents just so she can watch my Sakura. It's nerve racking because I'm already worrying about leaving her for that long. I'm so pathetic too! :p |

i understand completely i go in for surgery tomorrow and i have to leave Gatsby for 6 days at the least and when i get home i cant pick him up. its been tearing me up inside and i trust the person im leaving him with compleatly |
My hubby and I understand for sure. People think we are insane because we only go on vacations where we can drive and TAKE all of our dogs and we have a car load of them!:D |
I feel for you! Not pathetic at all! I hardly left Paris for 2 weeks before she had Napoleon and he's been born for almost 3 weeks and I have hardly left them...you counted right...5 weeks homebound!! But those of us who love these little ones heart and soul are not pathetic! We are good owners!! Hope the time goes by fast for you!! |
Thanks Everyone! Im glad to see im not so crazy..lol I am having a very rough morning though, I Have been calling my friend since 10am and texting her and no answer its now 2pm.. so Its time to go for a ride I guess, I really didn't want to go until tomorrow to pick her up, #1 didn't want to visit as id have to leave her again, but Also I felt i really needed to turn this into a learning exercise so I wouldn't be so ridiculous when we go on vacation this oct, Were going to Fiji for 2 weeks and I already canceled our vacation this last Jan to punta cana as she was so small and I couldn't leave her. My partner said this time no excuses. So this would be practice..But who doesn't answer there cell phone!!! |
I just love you "Chole's Dad". Sometimes when I am at Petsmart, I look at those "calming collars" a long, long time. Not for my baby.........for me when we have to be separated. It's agony. |
Oh Cloes Dad, you aren't crazy crazy, you are just as crazy in love as the rest of us. You are too cute!!! Can you go over and camp out with Cloe till you can bring her home? That way you wouldn't have to call every little bit for an update. Hope you've got something to help make the time go faster for you. We have to leave Roxy in June for 4 days, and I don't know how I'm ever going to manage it either. We haven't even had to leave her one night. Take care. |
lol OK Ive calmed down..I got to my friends house and she wasnt there..So im picturing her combing the area trying to find Chloe, ignoring my calls as she cant bring herself to tell me she lost her!!! And About 20 min after Im camped out in her driveway stalking the poor girl she rolls up, Chloe safe and sound in a car seat in the back, fresh from a pampering at a doggie spa, painted toenails, new bow new tee-shirt and collar..Auntie Terra is spoiling her!!! She says "I'm so sorry, I feel so bad, I forgot my blackberry at home!"..To which I replied well promise me you'll ignore the 30 irate messages and were all good..lol I feel much better and sorta foolish, But I have to thank all of you for your kind words making me feel better..I left her there, And I will pick her up tomorrow after I go to the spa...Its only fair I should get to relax too...lol:D |
:eyetearss You are just one really cool Dad. Isn't it awful how our imaginations can get the worst of us. I've done that myself so many times. Does your friend understand now to always take her cell with her? No fair making you :rollingey. How cute she took Cloe for some pampering. Well, you try & get some sleep, go to the spa & be all calm cool & collected when you pick up Cloe. You deserve it! |
Box Elders Box Elders are attracted to maple trees - and I'm very familiar with them. The mature bugs like to sun on the south side of the house and they are very much a nuisance. Dawn dish soap and hot water kills 'em!! And its very safe. Small box elders are little red bugs and breed in the rocks (we had river rock ground cover around the pool and there were thousands breeding in the rocks). Get 'em while they're still in the rocks - its much easier to flood the rocks than spray the house. Maybe next time, you can keep Chloe with you! Good luck!! |
I know exactly how you feel. If you can't see them, you worry... |
