....and this is why we love them.... I was outside, doing Spring yard work - a piece of drain pipe fell off the roof - hit me in the face - I was by myself, and started to cry - came in the house and Mr. Darcy heard me and came running - he jumped up on me and stared and sniffed and THEN licked the tears off my face and eyes. I thought it was just maybe a coincidence and put him down, but he jumped right back up and stared at me again, then licked the tears off my cheeks again. I now have a black eye, but a full heart!:luvu: |
I am so glad Mr. Darcy was there for you! Happy that you are okay too. They are such little sweethearts. :animal-pa |
Awww....that is the sweetest thing ever....I too, am convinced they understand us and try to comfort us. BTW, love the name! Pride and Prejudice was on TV last night :) |
With Colin Firth?? He's the best! |
Oh he kissed away the booboo. What a heartwarming story. Hope you feel better soon. |
Bandit does the same thing...when I watch a sad movie, I make sure I have my little tear licker with me!! I'm so glad Mr. Darcy was there for you, and I hope your black eye gets better quickly! |
Yes, they always sense when something is wrong and make sure they are there for you. :) Hope you feel better soon... ouch! |
Sounds like Mr Darcy takes his job seriously. They are so precious at such a time, and it works both ways too. I was playing with mine this weekend and Ms Daisy smashed into Gatsby making an ugly crunching sound. He was fine but she started whelping :(. I grabbed her and hugged her until it went away. We are there for each other! Use lots of ice :). |
That is so sweet! Don't you just love these little guys/gals?!;) |
They are truly a little bundle of love...glad Mr. Darcy was there for you! I hope you feel better soon! |
I'm sure he is just returning the love he gets from you. They learn what we show them. |
omgosh your so lucky it wasnt a worse injury Mr Darcy you are a knight in shinning fur |
aww that's so sweet! :) |
Yes, that's why we love them. That's is an adorable story and I know it Mr. Darcy's love warmed your heart - it does mine. How sweet. The Pride and Prejudice that was on the other night was the one with Keira Knightley, not the one with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. He makes the best Mr. Darcy, but the scene in the one with Keira Knightley where Mr. Darcy walks toward Elizabeth in the dewey field the morning after his aunt visits her is the sexiest scene in any movie I have ever seen. I'm swooning just thinking about it. |
Only in the movies!!!! |

I'm glad you're ok - that could have been really serious and even worse - you were alone.....that kind of thing sounds like something that would happen to ME.....lately I've been so accident prone |
I am sorry this happened to you but it sounds like Mr. Darcy was just the medicine you needed. Bless is little heart, he wanted to give mommy some tlc. :) Hope you feel better soon. |
Oh your poor eye! I hope you heal up alright. I'm glad it wasn't more serious. Like Vee said - being alone like that! Yikes. Mr Darcy sounds like a real sweetie. I love it when my little ones do that too. I see them doing it to each other too. If one of them yelps the others come running and sniffing and kissing. It is just so sweet. They fight but the love too. Hugs to you and Mr Darcy! |
aww...this almost made me cry!!! I know that dogs are there for us - they can totally tell what our emotions are!!! There was one point that I was super depressed because I wasn't getting pregnant, and Joey, not my cuddler, came up and cuddled me while I cried. I ended up with both boys cuddling me in my blanket, and we had a nice little night, even though I was sad. I'm still not pregnant, we decided to put it off because we were just getting too stressed, but my boys were definitely there for me when I felt I needed it most. I'm sorry to hear about the black eye! I hope it gets better quickly! |

What a sweet baby.. |
Yes, we're all very glad you're okay, despite the black eye. I'll try not to stray in posts as well, but the scene was fresh in my mind. (Picture me fanning myself.) ;) |
Ouchie, your poor eye. Hope you're feeling better. |
I do love this movie - I have it on DVD, and play it about once a month!!!! |
