I agree. there is NO WAY a vet would tell you to take him, out before he has had all of his vaccinations.

Also, are you telling us that this puppy has only gained 2 tenths of a pound in 2 weeks?

I'm beginning to think there is no puppy. Nothing you have said lately makes any sense at all. One day he is peeing and pooping all over and biting like crazy, and two days later you have broken both habits. When you sleep for 8 hours a day, are gone for 9 hours a day, run for an hour a day, have to eat and shower and do housework and shopping and laundry. It is simply amazing how much you have accomplished in the one hour a day you have time to spend with him.

If it was me, working all day, then home to shower,and cook dinner....then clean up after that....the last thing I would wanna do is jog a mile or so! I doubt I would have the energy!!
And if DJ could talk, I am betting that he would rather tell you that he would just love some easy attention and lots of cuddles!! Cause by the sounds of your place, he is there mostly alone anyway:(
About all the vet controversy.....I am not gonna even comment there because I rather take the advice of these people here, than a vet that may not know much about a Yorkie other than it's a dog:aimeeyork!! There is no where on earth you will find a vet with the credentials that this site holds!!
We have someone for every situation here....and for free!!! Don't be disrespectful of them.......

Pup is 8 weeks.. But at this point I don't think she walks that pup anywhere. I don't believe anything she says any more and I will no longer be posting on her threads. She shouldn't be allowed to own a dog IMO!:mad:

How old is this pup?? One person says 10 weeks another says 8 weeks?? He's had NO vaccinations whatsoever and he's outside? For whatever it's worth I was told by one of the consistently best ranking and largest in the nation vet hospitals here in Boston (were all vets are board certified with at least over 15 years experience and graduates of the top ranking vet hospital in the nation and WORLD only) the following information: You can take your puppy out in YOUR yard, but it's safer for the pup to not take it out to public parks and such (where other dogs run and play) until a week after it's had its second set of shots, but preferably it's 3rd set. The biggest worry about taking your puppy around other dogs or for walks where the puppy can come into contact with other dogs feces is that the puppy will get diseases like Parvo or distemper (which can be and usually is fatal)! If there is parvo on the ground where the puppy is-he/she can get it! It can be fatal...its a virus that can be transmitted through feces, soil, and other outside areas that can be contaminated (as I'm sure many know :)). The 3 set of shots will make it to where the puppy will not contract the virus. As long as you are careful to not have the puppy on surfaces where strange (and possibly infected) dogs have been, your puppy will be safe, BUT DEFINATELY wait until it has had the required and right amount of shots. Waiting until the 3rd set of shots is administered will keep your puppy from getting diseases the other dogs and their feces carry. You can take your puppy outside before that but keep them on a very short leash, keep them away from unfamiliar dogs, or dogs you know have not been vaccinated, and do not let them around feces of other animals (at least until the third shots have been given).

Also, I took my almost 16 week old puppy out today for her longest walk ever (she's only been out really 2 times before) for about 1 hour walk/run/play, but we stopped, rested, walked again, played, had water and I was exhausted and so was my girl! Also to note I've been a professional athlete most of my life (/ran professionally for USA Track and Field )and my fiance is professional hockey player in the NHL and neither one of us can imagine a 8/10 week old puppy running a mile (unless maybe you JOG - fast walk a mile in 20 mins)!! My girl is a nut and fast as lightening and crazy!, but even an hour outside with rest and water tired her out like you wouldn't believe and she's 2lbs 4oz. Also with the little ones gaining only 2 tenths of a pound in 2 weeks is not abnormal - just wanted to point that out.

I bet you did in a moment of being really mad/frustrated/irritated because this pup is not what you thought. Maybe it's time to listen, and really read and research what you have gotten yourself into.

From her threads, what I gather is, he came home at 6 weeks, or about there. It's been a few weeks, and I haven't kept count but for sure he is less than 12 weeks. He has had some immunizations, but he hasn't had them all.

And two weeks ago he weighed 1.6 pounds and now he weighs 1.8 pounds.
Probably too exhausted to eat after that mile run.

The pup was flown to her at 6 weeks of age and she has had the pup 2- 2 1/2 (no more than that.. I can go look but I don't care to) and the puppy had 2 vaccinations already when she got him at 6 SIX weeks!!! So yes, absolutely worthless vaccinations wasted. :mad:

6 weeks! ad I thought my 8 week pup was a youngin' coming to me when I didn't now any better.

Gotcha. Wow that's scary..6 weeks old, and 2 vaccinations and flown on a plane - how does a puppy that young get cleared to fly and what kind of vet would give a 6 week old puppy 2 sets of vacs??? :eek: The poor little guy is going to need a lot of love and attention among other things. Lets hope the owner takes more precautions going forward. I understand mistakes happen and not everyone is knowledgeable about everything, but we can only hope no harm has been done and better decision making is made going forward. Boy oh Boy.

Yes it sure is and she was told this by just about everyone on YT but it was done anyhow. She said the puppy flew with with the breeder in the cabin (have my doubts on that), but the age requirement is 8 weeks whether in cabin or cargo. So someone lied. Either the vet (doubt it) or the breeder when giving the vet the puppy's birthday/age. Just shameful!:(

I thought you were going to stop posting on my thread....so why arent you?? I would rather appreciate it if you didnt because you have nothing educational to say that will HELP my puppy. Yeah...he flew here at 6 weeks but get over it...hes here now so lets help him instead of talking about the past you cant change....Man sometimes I think people dont have lives. Im here to help my pup to get great advice...and if you cant do it ...ill just tack you on to the block list.

Whether or not there is a puppy......and truely hope there isn't, but if there is, if she is not willing to do right by it, there is nothing we can do about it. She asks advice, for what? She doesn't take it.

We are all allowing her to push our buttons.

Think about it.....she had the puppy transported, illegally; leaves the puppy alone for 9 hours a day, taking it outside (unprotected); makes it run with her. Sounds like animal abuse and we sit back and allow it.....what would we do with other animal abuse cases?

I'm afraid you're right. It's not worth putting our "YT lives" at risk for someone that shows such a blatant disregard for the little life she has been entrusted with. I'm going to unsubscribe to all her threads as this is seriously breaking my heart and instead of focusing on Kaji (who still needs work) I worry about a puppy that is on the other side of the country, in stead of the one shivering right next to me. (he just had a bath)

NatNatt- I know you don't care what we think as you have done as you wish and probably blocked most of us anyway. Good luck with your puppy and may God send an extra special angel and make him resilient to survive all the tests your putting him through. God forbid you come back to this forum to post, "I think my pup is dying, what do I do?". Please go back, unblock people and read all your old threads. All the information you need to know is there. What I'd really like to know is the breeder of this puppy. I'd like to give her a piece of my mind. Allowing this person to have one of her puppies is not what I consider a good breeder. The breeder sent this puppy to a life of h***.
