Hates it when anyone goes outside A 1 yr 3mo old male, great little dog. But he hates it when anyone goes outside. He will run from the backdoor to the window, jump in the window, back to the door, etc, etc..over and over. This will continue to the person returns. When he has accounted for everyone he will relax. I have had to keep that window closed because he will nearly push the screen out when he jumps on the sill. Is this a normal or wacky beahvior for a Yorkie. I could understand if we were all outside and he could see us, but if we even walk towards the backdoor it sets him off. We spend a good amount of time outside when the weather is nice so its not like he never goes out. |
i can speak for myself...i know mine seems to think they are going to miss something, or someone is doing something without them so they tend to do the same thing....except after some time they calm down...none of mine are barkers which i am grateful for...so they all they would do is stand there staring until we come back in... |
Jackson's similar. Not as drastic but he's very much the kind of dog that always wants to be with his family! He just can't stand being separated from me... like he's fine if I go into another room and he won't always follow me as long as there's no gate/fence in between us. It's so funny. If he can physically SEE me, but he can't get to me, it drives him nuts. He always thinks he's missing something. But when I leave and go somewhere, he's fine. It just drives him nuts that he can see but not get to me, yet when I go into whereever he is, he could care less about me! Go figure. He's gotten better. When he starts his whining/barking, I assertively make the "pshht" sound and tell him quiet. I no longer give him what he wants (me) until he is quiet. But that's when he's in the fence in the backyard and I'm on the other side of the fence. If I go outside and he's indoors, he will usually stare at me through whatever window he can. |
