Litter training So here is the deal... We originally started teaching our boys pee pads and outside. They got it pretty well. Then we put the bell on the door and only use outside. But, we got a new little guy from our neighbor (they couldn't take care of him) and he is not doing so well so we introduced the pee pads again and he works great with them. Now, How hard is it to train them to use a little box? We live in an apartment and it would be best for us. But since they already know to go outside how can i train them to use the box too. Plus they are so small. do your have trouble? |
I'll bump this up for you. Perhaps someone who can help you with your situation can offer better advice than I.:) |
thank you. We just moved and scooter is marking and its staining the carpet. I dont know what to do!!! is there a good product? or a good spot bot? |
I know nothing about litter box training, but I can give you a link from YT, where they talk about stain and urine remover. I just used this recipe and it really does work. Good Luck and Welcome! ;) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-recipe-2.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-recipe-3.html Make sure you scroll down for the recipe and read what others have to say. |
thank you! i will try that! |
i think this is for odors not stains... but i am deff going to try it out |
We use to use litter (feline pine), but I hated having litter all over the floor. We use litter pads in holders, that works best for us. I even have one on the patio, so she wont have to use the wet grass. |
I trained Sydney to first go outside, and then in the bad weather I had her using the potty pads. I then eventually put the potty pads inside the litter box by Purina Second Nature. At first she wouldn't use it, but she eventually came around. I did use the crate, though, to help speed up the potty training process. If you stick to a strict food, water, potty, and play schedule, they will learn. As for stains and odors, try Nature's Miracle. It works great. It's an enzyme. The directions are on the back of the bottle on battling both stains and also odors. Let us know how it works out. |
