Hobbes is aggressive when he wakes up I need help, Hobbes is 1 year old, very loving and usually laid back. We got him when he was 13 weeks old. In the past few months he has acted strange. He can be sound asleep (usually in my husbands lap alone) and he wakes up suddenly growling, baring his teeth and will try to bite my husband. He seems like he doesn't know what he is doing. He has done this with me only one time. We have two other yorkies but he doesn't usually do this to them. Has anyone had this problem? Any advice is appreciated. |
I've not had this problem, so I don't really have any advice for you. I do have to wonder how both of you handle the situation when it does happen? Even if he's waking up slowly, he still needs to understand this is not acceptable behavior. Good luck, & hope someone can help you. |

My little Lucy is the sweetest dog EVER unless you wake her from a comfy spot and sleep. Then she acts like Linda Blair in the Exorcist. I get the impression that Miss PrinCESS does not like to be woken up from her comfy position. We kept her off the furniture for a while when she got like that. Because if you tried to move her off the couch or chair . .. watch out! |
