My new baby Got Peluche one week ago. He is 10 wks old and is 18 oz. He wants to dive bomb off the couch and bed!! I want him to lay with me, but then all of a sudden he'll just jump! Also I think he is too small for his age, so the vet gave us Hi-Vite (sp?) drops and Nuti Cal? |
I bet he is a cute little bomb. He is tiny I would love to see a pic. |
Hi & Welcome to YT! Please don't let your little one jump off of the couch and bed, he is very tiny and still a bit young. I don't let my older ones jump off furniture if I can prevent it. Your vet did the right thing giving you Nurti-Cal, due to his size and age. Keep a close eye on him, if he gets lethargic give him a bit of the Nutri-Cal. Good Luck!:) |
:wavey: Hello and Congrats on the new addition to your family! It has been so hard keeping my Twinkie from jumping off the couch. I have steps and ramps, but sometimes she takes off jumping and running after the cats. They have a mind of their own...Good Luck and keep an eye on your baby since she is so young. ;) |
Congratulations! Yes! Stay on the floor with your lil one. He could break a leg easily if he jumps off furniture. The nutrical is for low-blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and sometimes they will become lethargic. He needs the nutrical to keep his sugar from dropping too low. That is something that can be fatal if not watched closely. You can also check his gums and if they appear white instead of pink then I would give him some nutrical. He should be fed about 4 times a day, too. You don't want him to go too long without eating. That helps prevent low-blood sugar. |
Congrats on your new little dare devil! He sounds like a riot! He is very tiny indeed so please try not to let him jump! |
I try my best not to, but he is very defiant (sp?). And he crawls up onto the furniture. I hope he at least gets 5lbs. I've seen a lot of runts turn out to be the biggest of the litter |
Congats on getting Peluche. You might want to get some steps or keep him on the floor. They can do some real damage to themselves jumping off things, there legs are not strong enough and the could hurt there heads as well. |
