My eight week old baby still sleeps alot but when he's awake he'll get really hyper and run, although quite ackwardly, with his ears back and acts almost ferocious and nips and bites at me. I think he's playing, but he almost acts like he's losing it. Should I be concerned? What should I do if I should be concerned?

Now would be the time to start training him. Young Yorkies will often have lots of energy and spirit when they are awake. They will want your full attention and will always want to play. If he is nipping and biting, I suggest finding a plush small toy for him to bite and gnaw with. Or a pair of your old cotton socks. If he does try to bite or nip and it hurts, set him in a crate or put him somewhere to "discipline" him. Hopefully, he will learn from it that nipping and biting at you is wrong and will associate that with being "disciplined." Also, if he is quite young, make sure he has his shots and his gotten a checkup at the vet. :)

Keeping in mind your little one is still only eight weeks old.
Usually repeating a firm NO, is enough. However you can place one finger over the bridge of the pups nose and very lightly apply a little pressure, again while using a firm NO.Puppies are active and rambunctious and just like children will frequently test the bounderies. Good Luck and Congrats on you new baby! :)

An empty paper towl roll works wonders...a gentle "pop" on the head and a stern "NO" ...works wonders...I have a 3 yo old and a 5 month old..both fear the paper towel roll...and best of all it doesnt hurt a bit and the dogs wont fear you..they will fear the roll...Extremly aggressive behavior is NOT common or acceptable for a young yorkie...My dogs love to chew on socks and rope toys..try to divert attention away from your flesh and to a toy...interaction is what the puppy wants...also it is imperitive that you give the pup chew toys to ease his teething pains...JJ likes ice and safe brands of raw hide (be sure to discard when it gets small, so puppy wont try to swallow it)

Hi everyone,

I have not written for a very long time because I have not had any problems until today. My yorkie Dakota has been throwing up a yellow/greenish bile and it smells very bad. Is there something that I should look out for? Or is it maybe something that she has eaten?
