Unexpected shower company I have to tell this story: this morning I was in the shower and I heard a thump behind me, I turned and looked and it was Pixie she had jumped in the shower clothes and all and was so proud of herself. she looked up at me as I am laughing........like what is so funny I just thought I would join you! lol I wish I had my camera near by. They do the funniest things, Life is never dull with a Yorkie;) |
aww that is so cute...if i didnt have glass shower doors i think Pasquale would probably jump in too...he always has this puzzled look on his face when i get out like he's thinking "what exactly do you do in there anyways?" LOL |
2 of my babies will look in the frosted doors when I get in the shower. When I open the door to get out, Gypsy is usually laying on my sweat pants that I wear constantly. I usu lay them on the side of the tub (sep from shower stall). Many time Sophie will grab them and take off with them so I think it is Gypsy's way of guarding them for me. Then all 3 have to ck me to make sure I am ok. |
I usually crate Owen when I get in the shower, but I bet he would totally do this too! He is always jumping in the tub whenever he gets in the bathroom. It's the cutest thing... though I don't think my roommate likes it too much :) oops! |
My two would head for the hills rather than join me in the shower. |
That is too funny!:D When my Jackson was a puppy, I was soaking in the bath tub, he was a bit curious as to what I was doing, so he decided to join me! He jumped right in the tub!:p I don't think he much cared for it, he jumped right back out and was running threw the house soak and wet!:D |
My two girls actually take a shower with me. I have a wand in the shower and they come in and I have their shampoo there so thet get washed. Makes clean up easier. |

My Hadley will even jump in a bath tub full of water. I caught him mid-air right after he had been neutered. Didn't realize they love water so much. So unless I want to bath him too he can't come in while anyone is showering or bathing. Wondering if he will jump in the pool this summer too. That scares me. |

That is so cute! Mindy loves water too, she'll stand by the tub when I'm getting her bath ready like "when are u gonna put me in??" If she was in the bathroom with me when i showered she'd prolly jump right in too lol. Too cute! |
That is too funny! When Kaji and I still lived in Irvine, we had shower doors instead of a curtain. He would scratch and scratch until I opened the door enough for him to see me so he knows I wasn't trying to get away, or because he's a peeping tom. Eventually he learned to open the door all by himself, and he would always smile because he was so proud of himself. Well, I was at work and my roomie was alone with the dogs, hers and Kaji. Kaji was pacing so she thought taking him to the bathroom with her and Danger (her dog) would be ok. To her surprise, Kaji opened the shower door wide open and scared her! She never took him into the bathroom with her again. :D |
I prefer baths over showers and Bailey just sits and stares up at me when I'm in the bathtub, I'm sure he would jump in if he could! They really like to stick close to you! :p |
Chloe and Fiona like to take a shower with me too, Fiona will curl up and just lay there under the warm water :) |

Olive hates bathing, but every time I'm in the shower she acts like she wants to come in. I let her in with me once (she's too small to jump in on her own) and as soon as she got wet, she was ready to run for the hills. Now she just waits for the sound of the water turning off and the shower curtain opening to greet me by the tub. She likes to sit in my lap while I sit in a towel and she is my "warming buddy" lol. It's so cute, she knows as soon as I sit on the bathroom floor it's her cue to climb up in my lap and keep me warm. |
Any of your pups help you get dry? Kaji tries to lick off all the water off my legs (it's the only thing he can reach :rolleyes:) He dries me. :) |

Linus does the same thing!! Unless we have him down in the crate or expen, he will jump right in the shower with us!! What's even more hysterical is the fact that he HATES getting a bath, but somehow LOVES getting a shower! Weird dog! |

Oh my, that same thing has almost happened to me. Twinkie has to be in the bathroom with me while I shower. She is not tall enough to jump in the shower, thank goodness the sides of the tub are tall, but she sure does try. Her little face is so wet by the time I get out because she peeks her head around the curtain the entire time I am in there. Once I get out, she licks my legs to get all of the water off. Love her!!!:D |
Lol, too funny. Nala learned how to break down the gate at the bottom of the stairs and she came up while I was showering and knocked stuff that was on the side of the tub into it, and it scared me so much!! She hates bath time so she'd never jump IN hehe. |

Hey, our guys that like to dry us off are just in trainning to aid us in our senior years. They know we won't be able to bend that far so they will take care of us... People want to know how to get their dogs classified as a work animal so they can take them into stores with them, well there it is.....At least I could get my female classified that, can't figure out what I'll do for my male, he sees his towel and he shoots under the couch like a rocket!!!! I think I'll try the shower for him instead of the sink... Thanks for the ideas!!!! |
