Yorkie-poo Yorkie-poo is breed from mating a yorkie with a poodle. Who has a Yorkie-poo and how are they? Are they nice too? :) |
Never tried it? |
Yup, Yorkiepoo's are a Yorkie and Poodle mixed together. It's not a breed itself. Just a mixed dog. So you can't really determine a certain temperament or look. Some look ALL Poodle, some look ALL Yorkie and some have a mixture of both. Some may have the yorkie personality more, or vice versa. A few ppl here on YT have Yorkiepoo's. |
3 Attachment(s) A Yorkiepoo is a yorkie/poodle mix. I have a 6mth old "Yorkiepoo" named Cody. Depending on the dog, they can either (like Brister said) look all poodle or all yorkie. Cody has an equal combination of both. He was one of 5 puppies and he looked the most yorkie. He has the wavy-ness to his coat of a poodle, but you can still tell there is yorkie in him. The rest of his brothers and sisters were white or a brindle gray color. Yorkiepoo's are a mix so they are more likely to have a variety or coats and colors. Depending of course. There is attached photos of Cody:: |
We were thinking Derby was a Yorkie-poo mix, and man does he have a similar look to your Cody! His hair is like that too! Wavy! but honestly we have no idea. haha We just know our breeders were less than honest with us in a lot of ways, and it wouldn't surprise me to know he is a mix. Anyway, my friend wanted a Yorkie-poo and when all was said and done, she ended up with one of the more poodle-lookin ones. Very cute dog. |
Tucker is a yorkie poo.. his mom was a toy poodle and his dad was a yorkie poo.. however despite him being mostly poodle.. he looks so more like a yorkie. He is all blonde, floppy ears, with short little legs and the yorkie body. His coat, his only wavy on his head but it can be a little crazy, but its managable. He is stubborn like a yorkie but smart like the poodle. To me he is the best of both breeds. His litter mate ended up all black and curly like the poodle and his "sisters" from a seprate litter were also totally different.. the one was identical to a sable colored poodle, the other one ended up looking more like a chi with a long pointy nose, big ears and long multi colored hair. So really dont know what your gonna get, thats what makes them so unique...:) |

Still look like a yorkie.. |
I have a friend, w/a yorkie-poo, and there is not one sign of poodle in her, Bella...She looks like the most beautiful show yorkie, w/long silky hair, baby doll face, and weighs about 6 lbs...I've seen Bella's siblings, and they have kinda curly hair, but still look more yorkie than poodle... |

My Jaxon is a Yorki-Poo. His dad was a Yorkie & his mom was a white Toy Poodle. He started out as a black & tan looking yorkie & has turned into a beautiful silver wavy hair Teddy Bear. Best dog we have ever had! He is 5 1/2 yrs old & weighs in at 7lbs even! Love him & so does everybody else! http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ing/th_024.jpg |
I have a yorkiepoo named Rascal. He looks like a black yorkie with a small patch of white on his chest. His hair is long with only a slight wave to it, instead of silky. He justturned one in February. He is spunky and his name fits him. I adopted him from a rescue group. He was from a puppymill. He is a lap dog and follows me all around. He does get jealous when he is in my lap and my kids try to climb on me. So I have to keep a close watch on that.Rascal is small and weighs 6 pounds. |
