Lotion Licker :confused: :confused: does any one have the problem of your little darling pup licking you all over after you get out of the shower with body lotion on. I jump around like a mexican jumping bean to keep zoey from licking my legs...it drives me crasy! :eek: :eek: any solutions or just keep jumping around after your shower. I even tried to hide from her but she finds me. :tongue: |
lol I have that problem too. Minnie just smells me but Mickey will try and lick the lotion off my arms , legs , feet what ever he can get to. lol |
eeeeewwwwww Tucker does the same thing and it makes me crazy! I lock him out of the bathroom and don't let him near me until I'm dressed. When I pick him up he licks the moisturizer off of my face. Yuck! |
LOL, Just shows how much they love us.!!!! I am 45 years old, and I can't remember when my babies didn't do that. I even asked the vet, and he said it's true love. :) :) :) :) I think it must be someting in the lotion!~ ??????? :) |

I even think it defeats the purpose of putting on lotion, my legs end up drier than before I started. Mine like to lick off my lipstick, too. |
Thank you for this thread... Winston just love to lick our lotion off too. My husband gave him the nickname "Lickie Lickie". We thought he was being abnormal. |
Same with my little Christopher! It used to bother me until I read in a Yorkie manual (which is great) that it is just something they do. Licking is part of what keeps them well adjusted, and lotion is a great incentive! I understand that we should never try to keep them from licking - so I go through all sorts of manuevers getting dressed behind closed doors to keep the lotion where I rubbed it in the first place! Just enjoy! |

holy crap people!!! this is really really really bad for the dogs!!!! a lot of lotions has xylitol in it and that my friends are like one of the worst things a dog can get!!! i have a yorkie and this spring she was in the hospital for two weeks and really close to death cuz she had ingested some xylitol.. please stop them when they wanna like the lotion! |

Tink does this too LOL. We always do our best to stop her, but she is sneaky. She will wait until you have forgotten and get involved with watching tv or reading a book and sneak in and try to lick some more..., |
