Help needed My baby got sprayed today. When she was release at 5:00 pm the vet came out to tell me that they were concerned that her temperature had not risen above 100. We were told to keep her on a heating pad and take her temp every 30 minutes or so until it broke the 100 mark and that we should bring her to an emergency clinic if it goes down. Well thankfully it hasn't. She has been staying at a 98. I failed to ask what to do if it stayed the same. Should I be worried if it stays at 98 for the night? She has stopped shaking. I don't know how concerned to be. (yes, I also posted in the health section too! Please answer if you have any advice. Thanks!) |
What has me concerned is they didn't keep her longer. If they thought there would be a problem, you would think they would have kept her. hmmmmmmmmmmm Please keep us posted. |
I guess that I never thought to question the vet's decision. You would figure that they know best becuase they this sort of thing all of the time. I am going to give her another hour and if her temp doesn't go up, we will be calling the emergency vet. |
Please keep us posted. Hope all is well. will be praying for her. They should of kept her until her temp was ok. |

heat You should put her on a heating pad under the bedding, put a sweater on her also....her temp is a bit too low at 98..try to get up up. Best wishes |
Ok, we have her on a heating pad. I will put a sweater on her. YorkieRose - how long is it ok for her to be at this temprature? We are at 99 now. She isn't shaking, put panting a lot. |
