cute pictures was just going through the albums and sooo many cute babies!!! It makes me want to get another Yorkie! BUT all the "issues" this breed has, I know I won't be adding another Yorkie to my pack. such cute babies ya'll have! |
There are healthy Yorkies out there! Don't give up! |
lol i know there are, but the puppies sound like they are so hard to raise and house train and what not. not my cup of tea lol i like simple dogs! lol thats why i love karma so much she is all done with all that lol |
I gotta tell you that Zeus was so easy to house train! Trust me before him I was not a dog person now I am as smitten as they come.:D |
yorkie I have never had a problem with my yorkie. I brought him home at 12 weeks old, last July. He has been a dream to train! I have also read a lot of posts with "problem" yorkies, & I don't see any of that stuff with mine. He has never chewed anything up, he was so easy to train to the pee pads & now that nice weather is coming is learning to go outside. he has learned a lot of tricks, walks great on the leash, outgoing, friendly personality. never bites, hardly ever barks. I don't understand why yorkie pups are getting such a bad rap. I think the problem is with the owners/trainers. all puppies need a "lot" of training & guidance & patience. |

the whole having to keep them fed every couple hours and potty training such little bladders I was on puppyfind just looking at yorkies (i like to look at pictures not actually going to buy any of them!) and omg i found one lady in ks makes me sick to see how tiny hers are..she has one that is only 7oz at 8 weeks!! omg waaay too small.. she brags about how tiny her "micros" are ugh! and then her guarentee is only a 48 hour one!!!!! most were cheap too 600 or less. wth? i am banning that site from my eyes from now on. i used to use it just to look at pictures of puppies and get my puppy fix. they should call it puppymillfind or bybfind:mad: |

ya, you need a lot of patience. I'm home all the time now & my son is grown & moved out so I just "dote" on my little love. He is about 5 pounds now I would never want a really, super tiny one. We stepped on his toes a couple times when we first brought him home & he was only 2 pounds. I'm glad he grew a bit!! and also there are never any distractions during training, with only him & I in the house all day, which makes things alot easier. It must be very hard with small kids and a puppy to look after. But, I thing the yorkie & toy breeds still get the "bum rap" |
its actually pretty easy to train with the kids here, cuase they are always watching too. my husband and i were talking last night and i told him if and i mean IF (as in YEARS down the road) i decide to get another yorkie it would have to be an adult. so i would probably go through a rescue. but no more puppies for me! |
