So you're getting her from a family that purchased her so they are attempting to rehome her and their fee is $400.00. I she spayed. Usually the price of a rehome is the cost of a spay/nueter & teeth cleaning.....but, that's because the incurred the fee. But, still an extremely good price. |
I think that she is cute, I would go there and see how you feel. If she is 8 months she has already done most of her growing and will prob not get a whole lot bigger. It is not unheard of at all to get a rehome for 400-500 dollars. That is a great price for such a young dog. Just follow your instincts if it feels right when you get there then go for it. |

I hate to muddy the waters here, BUT if you read how I acquired my furbaby I knew very little about her and the breed in general. I saw her.. feel in love and bought her on the spot. I was browsing through a thrift store at the time :D. I can not tell you how much joy and laughter she has brought into our lives. I couldn't begin to put a price on that. I still don't know all that much more and really don't care. I did get her pedigree but the original breeder has since passed. If I were you.. I would think about what your objectives are. Are you thinking about breeding or just want someone to love you and someone you can lavish your on. If you have apprehensions why not make an appt. with a vet in the area and have him look her over. If everything is above board the current owner shouldn't have a problem with that. Leave her something of value that you most definitely want back. If she objects.. something may not be quite right. If things don't work out with this one.. for sure keep searching. Buying my little sweetie is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Best wishes to you.... Susan |

This sounds more like a rehoming than a breeder selling, if you want to be safe, you should ask for her vet's name, the dog has to have records of shots. I have to tell you that some people do sell dogs that have heart worms, and it's very expensive to treat, if you are on a budget talking to her vet could help protect you. From the looks of it she's very cute, and some people rehome just because they have a hard time house breaking Yorkies. It does make you wonder why they are selling her. One other thing, sometimes yorkies are tiny because the have Liver shunt, another costly ailment to treat. |

It looks like a yorkie to me but it might also be a BYB... That's how I got Bailey and I didn't even know it :( Just be careful... Quote:
