If you told me $500 I would be leery and walk away. Now it would not be my first question, but I would want to know. If you also said $3000 with limited rights, I would also be real leery, or 6000 for a Parti....
Sometimes it is good to get the price out of the way early so you do not waste each others time. For the record, I am sure whatever you and Jackson25 Charge, whoever gets one of your dogs is getting a bargain! I agree, buy the breeder.

 | I understand that it is a major purchase that one is about to embark on. However, from my stand point, when the first words out of a person's mouth are how much are your dogs, it just makes me feel that the person is bargin hunting. Not that the question isn't valid and shouldn't be voiced, but not the first thing. I feel that their main concern should be about who am I as a breeder, the health of the pup. I may have a set price for my dogs, but have been known to be flexible, since my main concern is finding the best possible home for my puppy.
It's the same when people e-mail me and telling me what they want, asking questions that I would never answer to a stranger, instead of picking up the phone to contact me. When they call it gives the feeling that these people are really interested and therefore putting in an effort. |
