Does your yorkie tell you what he/she wants? Whenever JoJo wants something, he lets out quiet little barks to get my attention, and then makes me follow him to his "desired" object, so I can get it for him. For example, when he's not playing with a certain toy, I might put it up on the counter, and when he wants it he'll come "tell" me to get it for him. Basically anything he wants that he can't reach, he'll tell me. He also does it when he wants to go outside. He'll stand by the door and "tell" me he wants to go out. It's not a loud bark...just quiet little barks. It's so cute. :p |

Sam does the same thing and Ollie is starting. In the car Sam tells us when he wants water by tapping on his water bottle. And if we ignore him, he goes into an all out fit. Yes, sometimes we ignore him on purpose. OR if we have drinks he grabs the straw out of them till we give him a drink. |
These little ones are just too smart! |
Buddy be at a loss for words? Never:p Yes, your absolutely right. These little bugger's are very smart indeed. |
Lol, Jackson does the same thing. |
Agreed! I have always believed, that if you know your dogs (animals in general) well enough, you shouldn't have any problems communcating back and forth. :) Afterall, they do take on the personalities of their owners, right? |
All the time! :D. Sophie is always very communicative. :D |
As I type, Chip is in the kitchen growling and throwing his bowl around on the floor. The other day I was just teasing him and he got frustrated because he wanted some water in his bowl and he actually went in the bathroom, jumped in the bathtub and started barking at the faucet! ... Now off to go give my baby what he wants :D |
Couver is very vocal. I ask him "Do you need to go outside?" and he will begin to whine and bark to tell me "Yes Mom!!" He also barks or growls to tell me other things that he wants. |

Who ever said dogs are dumb didn't know what they were talking about! |
Cerise jumps on my lap or chest and taps me several times with her paw in the chest or on my face when she wants to go poop. She only does this for that reason. At first I didn't know what to think but now since she does it everyday I think it's the cutest thing. She gets excited when I get up because I understand it...LOL |
Wrigley is incredible at telling us what she wants! She rarely and I mean rarely barks! So when she makes a noise it's to tell us something specific! She has different noises, barks, whines and I know what each one is telling me! Now if she doesn't feel like making a verbal noise to get her point across, like when she's hungry. She will start scooting her dish across the floor! (a heavy "life is good" ceramic dish." |
Oh, yes! She tells me what she wants and I understand very well. She\'s got her mommie trained.:D |
Bailey always let me know! |
Yes Remy absolutely does! Whether is potty time, play time, or just "pay attention to me" he most definitely communicates For "pay attention to me" he is on my desk at work, sitting looking at me, and he picks up his right paw and reaches out for me. He can\'t quite touch me because of the distance. If I don\'t reach over to pet him, he adds in a little whine...for effect. It\'s hilarious :D |
