Keeping bows in her hair Any suggestions for keeping bows in Mia's hair. She is only 4 months old and doesn't mind me putting them in but they keep falling out. Thanks |
I use little rubber bands that I found in the hair products at Walmart, then put the bow on top of that. |
I split the hair I want in the bow into two sections (the hair close to her face is the first section and the hair close to her ears is the second). I put the bow on the first section of hair and then use another ouchless band around both sections together. This holds the bow in place ;) No matter how much she tries she can't get it out :p Just make sure that the bands aren't on too tight and pulling the hair to make her uncomfortable:) Good luck! I love the them in their pretty bows:D |

I sell 100 pcs for $2.50 You simply hot glue it to your barrettes and they are AWESOME! I put them on Monica and she keeps them for hours so I am very happy with that! Before she would pull, yank and scratch the bows right off lol Gen |
I have no advice. Roxie is now a pro at rubbing her head on the carpet to get the clips and the rubber bands out :-( |
The hair isn't held with the band on the bow. Put her hair up in a grooming band...place the band on the bow under that and it will stay in place. |
do I need to remove the band every night. I will take out the bow but if I could leave the grooming band in, that would be so helpful. |
she is getting pretty good at rubbing her head along the carpet to get the bow out. I am happy if it lasts an hour at this point |
I love them in pretty bows too, but Bailey has also become an expert at getting them out...:) |
Do you know how to make a proper topknot? That will help a lot. Topknots shared by Linda Grimm and Maria Lelinho starring Rocky! Many Thanks! After you make the topknot, you can add a bow. I always recommend bands as barrettes can be a choking hazard. Bands stay in better, too. If you do chose barrettes, make sure you watch her carefully until she is older and gets used to wearing bows. |

Question: I know you can cut the rubber bands off that are used to FORM the topknot, but how do you get the rubber band off that's attached to the bow? A good bow is too expensive to be used once and tossed because the rubber band had to be cut off. Is there a trick? |

If you make the topknot first, then just pop the bow on, the bow is very easy to take off. You never twist the bands on the bow around so it shouldn't be on that tight. A little conditioner on the hair before making the topknot helps, too. |
1 Attachment(s) I don't do topknots... but rather a little "water fountain" :D I use little latex bands I found @ Walgreens and then I place a barette over that. See pic. |
