Got new puppy home should be interesting I brought my new puppy home last night oh my this should be interesting. My Tucker thinks she is a wind up toy and won't leave her alone. Poor little thing she doesn't know what to think. How do you get them to go on the potty pads? I put it by the door so that we will be close but she doesn't seem to understand yet. I am sure it will just take time. Is it best to get the potty pads ot potty patch? I tried taking her outside but with all of the snow we have left she just stands there and shivers. |
Congrats on your new baby! Lucy never gave the puppy pads a second look for whatever reason. Even though this is the coldest year ever for us, I live in South Florida so I'm fortunate that I have been able to take Lucy outside each time. I saw yesterday that a lady just got her puppy patch in. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...-came-but.html Good luck! Can't wait to see pictures! :heart toKandi |
Every time she eats or drinks anything and whenever you see her sniffing around pick her up and put her on the pad. Once she puts her scent on the pad she will usually return to it. This worked well for Sophie until she wanted to chew and play with the pad. At that point we started her outside potty training and now she is housebroken and very, very rarely will have an acident in the house. Congratulations on your new little one. :) |
congatulations! We kept watching for signs of potty and placed them on the pad and treated whenever they went. :) |
