Thank you all for the replies! It's glad to know Sandy's normal :D Our neighbour's dog barks a lot and Sandy's always very 'nosey' and he wants to see what's going on. When the dog barks at him, he quickly runs away. |
Am crossing my fingers ( eyes, toes, legs etc ) because, at 5 months old, Chloe rarely barks. I'm not taking any chances that this will last forever and praising her silence when we see other people and dogs. Hopefully, the more we expose her to at this young age, the less she'll feel the need to bark. Then again...she is a dog... |

Well, my Farrah is almost 17 weeks old and she has a voice. But she sounds more like a chirping bird. On occassion she will bark to get attention or get free of her "den". I guess time will tell. |
We hardly heard a peep out of Rosie, thought we'd gotten a quiet one, until she turned about 8 months old. Shes not a constant barker but when she does its very very loud, her main targets being any bird that dares to start chirpping, especially in the morning, that damn dawn courus is so annoying it wakes her up so she goes and ''swears'' at them. She also doesn't growl properly, sounds more like she's moaning. She will literally 'nag' Alfie when he wont give up the toy she wants. |
Sandy started barking yesterday. I'm a bit worried now if he'll be a barker. *lol* |
Ugh, enjoy the silence while you can. Oliver barks at everything. If a leaf moves, he's barking. If he hears a noise upstairs, barking. If he sees another dog, omg, he goes nuts. I so hope he doesn't teach his little sister to bark like that, I will go nuts by week 2, lol. He has starting whining an awful lot lately too, that drives me absolutely crazy. He'll sit there and whine at me while I'm eating because I'm not sharing, I always ask him if I sit beside him while he eats and whine at him! lol. Maybe I should start so he can see how annoying it is, haha. |
Sugar has never barked until she reached 8 months old! But now she barks at everything.. |
